On December 30, 2022 I purchased a firearm suppressor from Four Peaks Tactical. Due to NFA/BATF regulations I could not take the purchased suppressor with me at time of purchase and had to wait until a Form 4 Federal Tax Stamp was approved. I registered for the tax stamp which requires the seller to add the suppressor information so it can be transmitted to NFA for approval. The suppressor remains in the sellers possession until the Tax Stamp is approved. On August 28, 2023 I learned from NFA that the Form 4 was still in "draft" and had not been completed. I checked with the vendor (The *************) Four Peaks Tactical said they purchased the suppressor from and they had no record of the purchase. The ************* maintains the portal used to submit eforms to NFA and confirmed the suppressor was not added to the Form 4. I have made numerous written requests for information including the suppressor serial number and to have the suppressor transferred to another dealer or refunded to no avail. Four Peaks Tactical is unresponsive to phone calls, texts messages and email correspondence. There is a history of BBB complaints that document similar incidents including a reported criminal conviction in the ***************** whereby the owner sells then does not deliver items sold or pay customers for items he has sold for them.Business response

We have addressed this issue directly with the consumer and have provided a full and complete refund.
Purchasing a firearms suppressor is an involved process and requires ATF approval which is 100% out of our control. In this case, using electronic submission, something happened (and we don't know what) between the handoff of the intermediate processor (*************) and the **** which left the application in a draft form. Four Peaks Tactical has absolutely zero control over that process, but since we facilitated the operation, we provided a full and complete refund.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I do not however agree with the business statement the approval process is completely out of their control. The Form 4 that is needed for ATF approval requires the silencer make, model and serial number be added before it can be submitted. The silencer was not added by the business and the Form 4 remained in draft for 7 months. The *************, mentioned by the business, had no record of the sale meaning the business did not purchase it, it was not linked to my account or it was one the seller had in inventory. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
