Additional Information for Cereset LLC

On January 9, 2023, BBB requested Cereset LLC to modify, substantiate or discontinue a claim made on their website, (https://cereset.com/ptsd/) that reads:

“Cereset’s effectiveness in PTSD recovery has been supported by clinical research study. In a study conducted by Doctor Charles Tegeler, Neurologist, Professor at Wake Forest School of Medicine, Cereset was shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD in military veterans. The study found that after Cereset sessions, participants reported a clinically significant reduction in symptoms of PTSD, including reduced anxiety, depression, and hypervigilance. Participants also reported improved sleep and increased energy levels.”

“Cereset’s technology effectively supports  all aspects of well being. As has been shown using Cereset for Post-COVID clients too, Cereset may eliminate  PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and more. Lastly, on the following website page (https://testimonials.cereset.com/), During our review, we noted at least 94 different testimonials videos, many of which contain specific medical claims.

Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.

BBB's Code of Advertising Section 30 of the Code states advertisers should ensure that testimonials and endorsement are not misleading and represent the current opinion of the endorser. A consumer endorser’s experience should reflect what users generally achieve, unless there is a clear and conspicuous disclosure of what the expected results will be.  Advertisers should not include claims in testimonials that they themselves cannot make and support. In addition, Section 34, also states claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.

As of April 2, 2024 the business has not responded to BBB's request.
