    BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints. Specifically, consumer complaints consumers allege issues with delayed delivery and refunds from the business. Consumers who are unhappy with their purchase state that refunds are taking longer than the promised 45 day time frame. Furthermore, consumers also allege that they receive little to no communication from the business when following up on refund status.

    On February 26th, the business responded to BBB's letter outlining the pattern of complaints with their plans to eliminate the pattern by implementing a new public facing tracking system that will allow consumers to track the status of their returns and they will receive notification when items are received at the business warehouse. The business also indicated that they are training more staff to improve their refund process and business consumer communications.

    In September 2022, BBB investigated Bossa Hearing Aids’ business practices. This investigation was prompted by an increase in consumer complaints received by BBB submitted to the. Customers alleged through their reports to BBB that the business causes delays when processing the refund and return/exchange requests, and does not fulfill customer orders in a timely matter. 

    On September 23, 2022, BBB sent the company a Business Practice Inquiry through mail to request the following information:

    • A copy of sales scripts used during returns, refunds, and exchanges or please detail the process the business uses when consumers call regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges;
    • Details on how the business fulfills orders and tracking information;
    • What is the current process to inform consumers of product delays;

    As of September 30, 2022, the business has not responded to BBB's inquiry.

    Advertising Review:

    On August 2, 2022, BBB requested Bossa Hearing Aids to modify, substantiate, or discontinue claims on their website that read, "Money Back Guarantee". Additionally, the company website displays a 5-Star rating by TrustPilot, as well as comparative sales pricing. Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising. 

    BBB's Code of Advertising 1 states, Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. 

    BBB's Code of Advertising 3 states, When comparisons are made to a former selling price, it must be to a bona fide price that has been offered for a reasonable time. If no sales had been made at that price, the advertiser must be sure that the markup on the higher priced product is similar to other products.

    BBB's Code of Advertising 20 states, When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” the advertiser should clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to the sale which could include putting it on the seller’s website. Advertisers should disclose any material limitations on a "satisfaction guarantee" or "money back guarantee" and define, for consumers, the meaning of claims such as "lifetime guarantee."

    Ordered Feb. 17th. They sent an email and it said I forgot something so I went back to order and it said submit so I figured I forgot. Then I got two emails that I ordered two sets. I told them no they tricked me I only want one set. They charge you immediately. I finally got the refund for the set I didn't want shipped about 2 months later. I received the one set and tried them on and way too big. I returned them and know that they were received. I have been trying for months to get my refund to no avail. They sent me an email refund notification on May 13 saying up to 10 days. Well here we are June 28 and no refund. I have been emailing and messaging on ******** (which is where I found them) and nothing. two payments charged Feb. 17 $109.68 and $99.68. I finally got the refund for the ones I didn't order $107.66. I am still fighting for the refund for the ones they received back in same condition I received them. Plus I had to pay to ship them back. $15.37. LM198142462CA was the tracking number. If you need more info, don't hesitate to contact me by email. The scamming today is outrageous. You don't know who to trust.

    My 90 year old father purchased a pair online. They did not work for him. Not a big surprise. I tried contacting them through their web portal, email, chat line, calling. No response after close to 10 different attempts. Dont do business with them
