On 5/31/2024, I received a pre approval from ************** Services for a 2021 Subaru Legacy at Autonation Subaru Scottsdale (ANSS), and had an expiration of 6/24/24. I went to the dealership and test drive the recently brought in vehicle. I gave a $500 check to hold the car until it was ready. I was called a couple of days later and signed paperwork for the car, in the evening. The interest rate was higher as was the payment although I offered to pay the down that the finance offer was asking. I drive away with the vehicle. Spot delivery begins. The car had overinflated tires that caused it to wobble almost out of control. I contacted ANSS to no avail so we adjusted the tires to normal pressure. A couple of days later I get a call from the sales guy requesting documents and another $1000. Again I said I could pay the $2550 down. Then I was told that I needed a co-signer. My husband did so. He was approved. I then was told that they could add some warranties and the interest rate was higher so my payment was went from $680 to $890. I wasnt happy but agreed. I was sent paperwork in three times to electronically resign. That all ended about 6/12. I was contacted by the lender to welcome me and sign up for an account in their website. I sent the documents and phone numbers they asked for. I heard nothing after that from either company. My husband received notices about my upcoming car payment. The email did not look correct so we did not do anything. I received a call from the finance director at ANSS on 7/12, a full 40 days later asking for paperwork including my full bank statement. I couldnt understand what was happening after all of this time. I sent in the paperwork she asked for but now the pre approval has expired. This is on a Friday evening. She called me later and said that the lender did not approve the loan and Id have to give the car back (which was for my daughter in med school). She then threatened me and text me until 9pm the same night.

April 15th I bought a car and traded my old car to Subaru. The trade in had a balance of $2,168.14. They sent a buyout check of only $2,100 unbeknownst to me. The loan company called me for 31 days about the $68.14 balance. I called Subaru speaking to managers as well as the gentleman who sold me the car and they all kept saying "it'll get fixed today", "I'll call you right back". I was patient for 30 days but then on the 31st day my credit got hit/deducted for the owed balance. Subaru has awful communication skills, they lack integrity for implying 10 day buyout. If I didn't call to harass them throughout the 31 days they would have never called me back. I was patient between speaking to employees. *****, the salesman even told me "he forgot" about the situation. My credit was effected and it's all because someone decided to round down the buyout check instead of putting the actual amount.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After this concern was brought to the attention of the Sales Manager on May 30th, the required documents were forwarded to the dealership. The dealership then sent the check overnight to have this corrected. Although we do understand your frustration, unfortunately, we cannot access your credit report to make any corrections.

I understand Subaru doesn't control credit score. I want more than an apology. An apology doesn't rectify this situation. I want something else than an apology to make the situation right. Whether we refinance car with lower cost of car, several gas cards. Something more than an apology.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  We spoke with the customer on May 30th at approximately ******* when she called the store to ask about this situation regarding the short-funded payoff with *****. We immediately contacted ***** and obtained the remaining payoff balance. A check request was immediately processed and was overnighted to Arivo. This has been corrected the day after it was brought to our attention.

      Thank you.

November 19, 2022, I purchased a vehicle from Autonation Subaru Scottsdale (ANSS), and as of February 15, *********************************** title for my vehicle. After repeated attempts to contact them for resolution to this issue, they will not ************* or leave me on Hold for extended periods of time. Due to this, the issue has been escalated to the ** MVD ********************************** They could only share minimal information but are actively looking into this matter. One piece of information they did share was the possibility that ANSS sold me a stolen vehicle due to some inconsistencies in the vehicle's history. Upon hearing this theory from ** MVD, I immediately contacted the Scottsdale ****************** They sent an agent to ANSS to investigate this issue & found facts about the history of the vehicle. I'm still without a ************* for a vehicle that I own & am sure they are breaking the law since its now been 88 days since I purchased it. This needs to be resolved to ensure I'm driving legally as ANSS is withholding these docs against the legal limit of the law.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.

We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may have caused.

The title has been issued to the customer on February 10th and should receive his plates and title from MVD within the next week.

      Thank you,
