In September 2021, I put in an order for pet friendly carpet and padding. I was told I had to pay up front before they would order it. I paid $2718. on my charge card. I was told, don't worry it will be installed before Christmas. Trying to keep my patience, I didn't call them figuring they were waiting for the carpet to come in. February 1, 2022, I tried calling and I got no answer so I drove to ********** to the store. Can you imagine my horror when I found a note on the door NO LONGER OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! I emailed them as per their instructions on the note and have NOT heard back. What am I supposed to do now? I am a widow and that's a lot of money for me to lose. Ordered carpet July 2021 order placed 7/31/21 was told that wed have our job complete in 8 weeks at the latest. Been 8 weeks no communication from Carpet One **********. Calling weekly for status updates - after being told by ***** were 7th in line at the factory, 2weeks later being told were 3rd in line at the factory. Stories dont make sense. Asked for owner who apparently is the only one who knows wont return calls. 2 more weeks pass I call for updates, theres no meaningful timeline or excuse. I call they dont pick up or return calls. Paid 14k in advance, this business has been unresponsive and when they do I feel less than truthful regarding delays. The total lack of communication or care for the order after receiving our payment in full, in advance. I suspect they know delays were happening and continue to happen but dont share that information with customers. No interest in communicating timeline, delay info, projected install dates or anything with us. Need a response.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
