Since we made a decision to rely and wait on The Revel Legacy Community my parents have experienced frustration, stress and absolute panic and shock. What happened when we trusted a local company, called The Revel Communities my parents who are 88 and 90 years old mistreated them. My parents were to move into The Revel in October 2021. I want to share my story to protect other seniors in the valley from experiencing the same physical, mental and financial despair that my family has encountered in dealing with The Revel for the last year. This company has absolutely no regard for my parents well-being. There were 7 different move in dates and over ****** in wasted money as they adjusted and did not communicate in a proper way. My husband and I informed The Revel that my parents do not handle stress well, and to communicate important changes to us, and to only us. Because my parents move in date was moved, we arranged for a new place for my parents to stay during the extra month, as their temporary residence could not be extended for that time. This was not easy for my parents to hear. Even though they were in a nice condo, they felt unsettled and very insecure, which is a horrible thing to feel any time, but especially for elderly. More importantly, however is that The Revel has caused untold emotional and mental harm on my family, who have been severely stressed by the constantly changing narrative. It appears that in its desire to keep prospective residents from cancelling their reservation by being candid about realistic timelines, The Revel instead chose to keep vulnerable elderly people dangling with promises of certain move-in dates. This is unacceptable, and unprofessional. The primary fault of Revel is that it has persistently misled us and my parents have exponentially increase strain and worry they have regarding their living arrangement. That this behavior has occurred from a company that specifically deals with the elderly is wrong.
