***** had ****** come out to install carpet that was not correct. The carpet ***** ordered was wrong but we were told we can install it for the time being and have it fixed or replaced at a later time given time constraints. For months we didnt hear a thing from ***** until I reached out. ***** came out and confirmed how poorly the carpet was installed and asked to replace or stretch the carpet. We agreed to have the carpet fixed but he asked me to pay $500 to complete the job and he would discount the initial install based on the poor job and incorrect carpet. In total, Ive paid $2000 now, which was a horrible mistake on my part, for wrong carpet and awful install. ***** wanted to schedule his installer to come out a week later which we were not able to have them come and asked for a later time. I received no follow up and I reached out again in June to have the carpet fixed. He wanted his installer to come at 7am and I explained that was too early. ***** then called and was yelling about we wont let his installer in and how stressed he is from multiple complaints from other jobs, which we are the customer and its our home, if 7am is too early we have every right to advise of that. Given ****** aggression and lack of professionalism we asked him to cancel the installer because we do not want to do business with someone that can be that refuses to allow us to chose the date/time as a customers to fix what was not the correct carpet and horribly installed. There are ripples and short cuts all over. The initial installer had no business installing this carpet as he clearly didnt have experience to do a good job. I have now asked ***** to return my $500 paid to have the Lowes Contractor to come out and fix the issues to pay someone that is professional and not agressive with their customers. I do not feel safe having ***** or anyone from Carpettown in my home. Since I will not get a response I would like ALL of my money back to replace this awful carpet.Business response

a few years ago *********************** and his wife ********************* ordered carpet from Carpet Town as they were expecting a new baby anyday.
they are return customers who previously gave us a five star rating with the BBB.
of course i was delighted to help them out with a brand new carpet especially with their new baby coming. Everything was going fine until the factory sent us out the wrong color carpet.
I offered to replace this carpet with the correct color.
The consumer decided to except a large discount on the job and keep the carpet that was installed too compleation.
After the job was completed the customer complained that they were dissatisfied with the installation as well.
i have offered to cover this problem through the factory warranty department with the manufacture of the the carpet.
There is a ten year factory warranty.
The customer is refusing to meet with my estimator and select another color.
It is impossible for Carpet Town to rectify this issue when the consumer is unwilling to talk too us.
We are more than ready to honor our ten year factory warranty. However we are unwilling to issue cash refunds years after the fact.
