I reached out to Gilfry Transportation because I needed to transport my horse. The reviews on their website were amazing, and they were excellent at communicating initially. They were going to move my horse on November 1, 2022. I paid them half up front. They told me I would hear from the transportation hauler a few days before the move to let me know what time they were picking up my horse. I never heard from them, so I decided to reach them 2 days before the move. I began calling the business and the hauler with no answer or call back. I then emailed them, and with just over 24 hours before my horse was supposed to be transported, they emailed me back on October 29th at 11 pm they told me the hauler was 1 week behind and would not be able to move my horse on the agreed date. I was appalled they did not communicate this with me at all, and about 24 hours before my horse was to be transported. I searched their business on yelp, and they had very poor reviews of people in the same situation as me, not showing up, no communication, not refunding as promised etc. I decided to call them the day before on October 30th after I woke up that morning when I saw the email, to cancel the transportation since the agreement was already void. Nobody answered. I then emailed them to cancel, which they did and told me on October 30, 2022 ( email proof) they would refund the 1st half I paid and it would take 3-5 business days. It is now November 21, 2022 with no refund. I made a claim with my bank, but because you Zelle them money, the bank cannot do anything. I just contacted the business today via email to ask for the refund again. She responded back and said she has not been in the office since 10/30/22 and her receptionist was supposed to do it, but caught covid?. If nothing, I will be filing a police report. I am honestly in shock they are still running this business. It was extremely upsetting, frustrating, and unprofessional.
