On July 20, 2023; I took my dog for a routine checkup. We live in ****** for summer time only. My dog wasnt sick, but I told the doctor that I took her off of a pill that I dont think is helping my dog. She has a fat belly. After her checkup from the doctor with his nurse and another intern, the doctor suggested that he could drain her belly to help her. I was surprised and I didnt think thats possible but since his a doctor I assumed he knows what his doing. I ask if they have to cut her, and the doctor said that all they have to do is stick a needle on her belly and thats it. He ask his nurse if she has the time to drain my dog belly and she said she does have time. I was going to wait for my dog but the doctor said it could take 30 minutes and I could leave her and come back within half an hour. After I left to do my errand I got a call from the doctor within 12 minutes and ask me to come back because he thinks my dog will not make it. I was really surprised and doctor said they cant stop the bleeding. I rushed to see my dog and saw her gasping and I was in shocked! I ask what happen when it was supposed to be a simple procedure and how could he say that my dog is dying! Then he stated that my dog has a heart problem and stomach cancer. I told him that my other veterinary doctor at another city just did a blood work and tested my dog for another disease and came out negative and now his telling me my dog has heart problem and cancer? How does he know and if they X-ray her why did they went ahead with the procedure if they know my dog has these problems! I told them I was going to be out of town the next day. Since I was shocked and bawling up the front desk they told me that I can pick her up when I gets back in town. They tried to contact me after I got back in town but I never received the call until my son started calling them. They said they called a wrong number. Really! You lost my number that you have record on. Now I got a bill!Initial Complaint

After making an appointment a week to a week and a half in advance and being told to hold all food and water after 9pm Sunday, we took our dog to the vet at 9am Monday, July 10. I filled out 2 papers including to have her nails trimmed. At 10:30 we went in to see if she was done. She was not. At 3pm I called and she still was not done. I called at 3:30 to tell them I would be coming for her at 4pm as it is an hour drive and I would be there before they closed at 5pm. Upon arriving, we were told the vet called us at 3:25pm wanting authorization! We got no call. They did nothing for our dog!! They kept her all day then charged us $95.00 for an office visit-drop off! She was not dropped off. She had an appointment! THEY DID NOTHING FOR HER!! This was a complete inhumane act of pure incompetence!!
