I started the denture process 10/12/2021 with Tempe Dental care. I paid $750 for a temporary denture and $873 for extractions. I was told I only had so much benefit remaining on my insurance that was the cost. I agreed and got the dental work started. I have not been able to eat well since Oct, the temporary denture never fit properly despite many attempts. I was told once my gums healed it would fit better but it never did. I had already scheduled my appointments to get permanent soon as benefits started over in Jan 2022 so I just suffered through. Today I went to my appointment got cast for new denture. When leaving I was told it cost $54 and some change for the day then gave my card and it denied 4 times. I was confused then I saw receipt and was being charged 479. I have three major issues. I was never able to use the temp denture properly. The receptionist said one dollar amount out loud, then tried to run my card for hundreds more. Finally per my *************** it covers up to $1800 towards basic and major restorative services with a$50 deductible which they tried to charge today, but then try to charge for orthodontics which only covers 50%. By every definition that I just looked up dentures are considered restorative because they restore basic function of teeth. I'm sending copy of price sheet i was given showing both.
