This is a scam company. They were contracted for a two hundred thousand dollar job consisting of a casita and a shed which took 1 year to complete. After they took $80K from us we had a shed frame built and thats it. We canceled our contract with the understanding we forfeited $40K with a $40K refund which after many attempts and almost 3 years we never received. Please dont use this company and lose your money to criminals.Review from Robert K

Smoke and Mirrors is what comes to mind. No response, empty promises, too little too late are their go to behaviors. He even sent me a picture of his hunting gear when I asked for a status once. I think the owner thinks he is a pleasant man and is using his "good nature" to get people to trust him, but it is so obviously filled with guile its exuding from every word he speaks.Asked for a lot of money up front, later learned this is a good sign that they are "behind" and will spend it on something else, not your project."Design team **** started it off. Dragged feet in responding and then provided incomplete or wrong specs that started the whole cycle over again. I spent hours remeasuring the house and figuring out what he did wrong, resulting in charges to me for "homeowner changes" at the end of that contract. This 2x-3x the cost of a draftsman. What should have been a one month design phase, took us past our due date and into five months (the city only taking up another five weeks.) In **** defense, he was pleasant and knowledgeable when we talked, but delivery of final results was horrible. All emails were ignored until they had something to say back that was positive, but it was too little work, too late.Had many concerns, which agreeably stretched the time out longer, but they gave no sign of addressing. After another six months they said they were ready (they said this many times, but this was in writing) so I paid the next downpayment using my AmEx (they are currently fighting for me to get that money back) and 3 months later (I felt we were now bound by the contract), I got the *** involved and they are being reprimanded as they didn't even respond to them. But they still have $44,000 of my money with nothing to show for it.Best case scenario he is in over his head and passing his mistakes on to the homeowners.***** case scenario he is doing a cash grab and sinking it into retirements stuff before going bust.Review from Marvin S

Stay away from this Business. We contracted with them for Design, Drafting and Construction Services for a 450sf Detached Casita in our back yard. It been over 8 months since we signed a contract and they still do not have approved plans for construction. Also, in that same 8 months they went from 0 complaints with the ** Register of Contractors to 6 open and 2 resolved cases. There is no way I would have signed a contract if there would have been any when I looked in 10/2022.Bjelde Construction LLC Response

Dear **************,Per our records, your contract was signed on Dec 5, 2022. Due to the timing of the holidays, you were notified that the project would be momentarily placed on hold. A message was sent on Dec 15, 2022, letting you know that the year was coming to an end with staff taking earned time off with their family for the Christmas and New Year holidays. You were notified the office was backlogged on projects for 3-5 weeks on new projects to close out older projects. We experienced significant time delays due to our engineering closed and the municipalities/jurisdictions being closed for their holiday time off.Once the holidays were settled, we scheduled a site visit, the first step in beginning your project, for January 10th, 2023.Preliminary Design officially completed on Feb 28, 2023. ******* worked with you to ensure that the design was completed to your approval, including any unexpected costs associated with the design constraints. After your signed approval on March 1, 2023, the construction document phase began. During this time, we experienced a staffing shortage. We notified you that we did not have the qualified labor needed. Your project was with one of our drafters who took time off to focus on her physical health. After construction documents began, we sent your project to engineering. In our contract, we state that engineering is backlogged with a rough time estimate for projects. Your project was sent to engineering on March 22, 2023. The engineer reviewed your project and gave us an estimated cost for your project. We sent you the engineering approval letter for them to begin work on your project.Engineering review was completed on June 15, 2023. Again, timing is not ideal when working through engineering review and revisions as they are sent from the engineer to LNB in various rounds of reviews, as they are backlogged from the number of projects and lack of qualified staffing.Submittal to Jurisdiction completed on Jun 22, 2023. Again, the timing on our behalf varies, as the Town of *********** does not offer a timeline of when projects will finish each review or when permitting is expected. The first review comment was received on July 12th. LNB completed their revisions on July 26th with time added for quality checklist. ** logged the revised plans back in on July 30th. The Town of *********** confirmed the plans were submitted on August 6th.After second review by The Town of ***********, the second set of comments were received on August 22. LNB picked up the comments and revisions then resubmitted the plans on August 23.LNB was notified the project was approved on Aug 22nd. The completely stamped set is expected to be posted on August 28th pending the Town of Queen ****** turnaround time.LNB has worked with both engineering and the Town of *********** to ensure that your project is designed to the necessary standards set forth by all standards. We are sorry that you felt the process was extended beyond the necessary timeline, but we can not offer an accurate time estimate on when project can or will be permitted. Delays were added and explained to you regarding the water heater situation, however, ******* worked to the best of her ability to ensure your design was to your standard and within your budget. Engineering backlog has also caused a significant delay, however, we have contracted with our structural engineering company for years. If we were to hire a different structural engineer, we believe that the backlog would be set for months in advance before we receive a set of review comments. Thank you for your patience, but the design phase of a construction project is not straightforward or ideal. We receive multiple reviews and complete multiple revisions from various entities to ensure that the designs created for construction are to all standards.Review from Debra V

This man. *************** cannot be trusted. Do not work with this contractor or anyone on his team. He led us on as if he were a ********* but he is a fraud using *********ity as a cover. He used Gods name in vain all the while taking our money and giving us nothing. This man is not a godly man. A godly man would not treat anyone this way. Beware his speech, his words are not to be trusted. After many thousand dollars paid to him we are now rebuilding our home (two years later) despite efforts to recover monies paid to him with no completion date. This project should have taken **** months to complete he kept suggesting, and adding new work orders taking money from us and pushing the project date forward.; weve paid for additional work orders that have not been fulfilled thousands of dollars. Shame on him. ***** on his office staff as they misled us for two years. He his a fraud, do not work with this company.
