I have rented a 1 bedroom condo in the Villa Real condo complex at ******************** in Tempe since May 2016. I rented and corresponded directly with the owner, *********************, until May 2021. ***** informed me that she was hiring a rental management company, Keller Williams Realty, and that moving forward I would sent rent and any maintenance requests directly to them. Over the past 2.5 years since they took over, I have had a terrible experience working with them for many reasons, but am going to focus on the largest/most important concerns. Per my original lease, after the first 12 months I would remain renting on a month to month basis moving forward. Keller Williams has tried multiple times to get me to sign a new 12 month lease. As a reliable and longstanding tenant, I appreciated the flexibility of a month to month lease and had approval directly from the owner to remain month to month. Back in April, I was informed mid-month that I would now be charged a $75 month to month fee moving forward if I did not sign a new lease. I was given no notice and this was not built into the terms of my original lease nor any paperwork I had ever signed. I requested numerous times for this fee to be removed and to discuss the terms of signing a new lease. Since April, I have yet to have anyone from the office contact me or respond to my requests to resolve these fees. I now have about $1000 in egregious outstanding fees on my account for the month to month fees and late fees for not paying those month to month fees. I was informed last month that I needed to vacate by 11/30 as the owner is getting divorced and needs to move into the unit. I have attempted multiple times to contact the office to discuss my move-out date, prorated rent for November as I am moving out prior to 11/30, and to schedule my move-out. I have texted, called, left voicemails, and left a message with someone in the office. I want these fees removed and November rent pro-rated for my move-out next week.
