I had gotten in a car accident and my insurance Allstate recommended the shop CARSTAR Right Choice Collision. I took my car in on 06/28/2020 and they quoted me 1300.00 to fix my panel size since my auto insurance would not cover it. I paid it and it seemed like it was fix. Over time my panel started cracking and falling apart, I called CARSTAR asking for warranty the lady who had answered told me there was nothing that could be done. On 1/27/2024 I was hit again in an accident where it did minor damage to my panel at the bottom. STATEFARM insurance sent my car to Calliber Collision. Caliber Collision had stated that the prior damage on my car panel was because CARSTAR did not properly fix it right and that is why it started to crack. On 04/25/2024 I went to CARSTAR asking them to take a look at my panel because I thought it was unfair that the job wasn’t properly done correctly leaving me to pay 3800 dollars out of pocket that Caliber Collision quoted me for the panel, if they had not fixed it properly I would like it fixed. Someone at CARSTAR looked at my car and stated it looked like someone hit my car and that’s what caused the damage and there is no dent in my car. I showed CARSTAR pictured prior to my accident where the panel was already coming off and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor at CARSTAR told me she would get back to me by the end of the day, she never did. I called today 05/02/2024 and the supervisor stated that they would not be able to fix the issue. I have Caliber Collision a professional shop stating that they didn’t do the job properly and CARSTAR is stating that it look like my car was hit. I have pictures of my car prior to damage that I shown carstar.

We took our vehicle to CarStar for repairs and it took weeks to be repaired. When we called and asked how much longer, they offered us a rental free of charge while we waited. We agreed since we needed a means of transportation to and from work. Carstar sent us to Enterprise to pickup the rental. We picked it up and utilized it until the vehicle was done. We were able to drop the rental vehicle off with Carstar when we picked up our vehicle. Within minutes of driving our vehicle, lights came in indicating errors and issues driving becoming apparent. We immediately took the vehicle back and we’re given our rental back. We waited even more weeks to get our car. We finally got it back and delivered the rental to Carstar. We drove it a while without issue until we popped our front hood and found that it wouldn’t close. We took the car back to carstar and had it repaired, also discussing unfinished repairs to the hood underneath. Months later, we receive an email invoice for the rental charges. Carstar had denied the rental charges and our account was charged $1129.97. We want this amount refunded to us as this was never ours to pay nor discussed as a possibility. For all that they put us through, and all of the waiting, they have the audacity to deny and have our account charged. This is terrible business practice and people need to know so it doesn’t continue! Enterprise shows in their data that Carstar is/was responsible!
