On 5/29/2024 my wife went to the dentist office for a regular cleaning. The hygienist was very demoralizing & stated that her gums have very very bad gingivitis, with very deep pockets. The hygienist stated that my wife needed to have a laser treatment done immediately, the hygienist explained it & said it was $75 for the treatment. Without getting approval she started the treatment, only after the service did the hygienist ask for permission. My wife felt obligated to sign & pay for the treatment that she did not want. After the cleaning & treatment the hygienist strong armed her into buying a $95 waterpik. When my wife returned from her appointment in tears from her experience & had said they made her buy the treatment & the waterpik & had charged her $169.99. I tried to return it the next day. The following day I went to the office to return the waterpik & complain about the service. The ladies at the front desk were nice & tried to help me. They stated that the office manager was out until Tuesday & is the only one to give a refund. I said I would be in on Tue to get a check. I went on Tues to pick up her check. The lady at the desk was nice. She said the office manager was in & would get my check, & to take a seat. A while later she came out & said the office manager wanted to talk. The OM was at her desk, clicking away at her computer & barely looked up at me. She offered me a seat & told me that she was sorry that my wife had a bad experience at the office. She asked me what happened to make my wife not want to come back to the office anymore, so she could use this as a learning experience for her staff. I stated that in 6 visits she had 3 bad experiences & she was done after this last hygienist strong armed her in pay $169.99. She tells me that she will not refund my wife’s money until my insurance pays for the cleaning visit. She verified my address & said more than likely in two weeks they might mail out a check for the return of the waterpik.
