I paid $79,000 for 45 days of treatment for Trauma & PTSD. I completed the program in 39 (5/7-6/15) & was denied a refund for the remaining 6 days. I was given an emergency call band that was ignored for several hours, on more than one occasion, while I was left unable to walk to the nurses station. I was told that nursing would come to my room and assist me, hours passed and nobody came. I filed a grievance, & was told their staff did not have a policy and procedure protocol for the beacon bands, & they would immediately address the issue- but it happened a second time weeks later. I paid $4,500 for neurofeedback and brain mapping. I did not get to finish my sessions nor did I get to have the post brain map that was part of the package I purchased. I was told that I could come back for these appointments, but after several attempts to make an appointment, I was eventually told that I was not allowed on property. I was forced to sign a contract stating that my service dog was not allowed in groups, or common areas. Upon completion of the program, a member of their management team contacted me and pursued a relationship with me. I was completely alone in Tucson, my family and friends 2,000 miles away. He became incredibly controlling, emotionally and mentally abusive, and ultimately locked me inside of the property where we lived with a padlock around our gate and took my key. I was absolutely re-traumatized. All of the high level staff members were aware that I was living with this man on Sabino property within 4 weeks of leaving Sabino Recovery. Rather than reach out to me to see if I need help, or if I was okay, the CEO sent a staff wide memo instructing everyone to call 911 if I was seen on property and have me arrested for trespassing. Sabino promises a lifetime of support but instead they turned their backs on me and treated me like a criminal when I desperately needed help. I found out that this man had an arrest record of domestic violence.
