We booked the OYO hotel at the last minute on Feb2 of 2022, after calling the number of a different hotel that we found on google, the ReservationCounter.com company is who took the call and booked us a room at the OYO Hotel. When we drove to the hotel it was dark and fenced so we could not even park on the property. Nobody was around. We called the reservationcounter folks and they said they had booked the room and had to investigate, but we never heard back and found a different place to stay. Today (feb8) I called reservationcounter again to find out the result of their investigation and they said they had to call me back. I told them I needed my money back. They called me 30 minutes later and stated they contacted the OYO hotel in Tucson and were told I had used the reservation (which is a lie) so they could not reimburse me the reservation. I told them I would send them photos I had taken that night and the next morning of they empty and fenced in OYO hotel to prove I could not even speak to anyone there. They will continue to investigate. In the meantime the Hotel continues to show up on Google maps and many reservation companies are allowing people to book rooms still. I also just called the number you list at the BBB for the hotel phone number: ***** ******** and someone with a thick indian accent answered and told me he could book me a room. I told him the property was closed and he said he was not aware that he would have to check. It seems they are booking as if it was open, I wanted to complain and alert in case anyone checks here. I will continue to work to get my money back and have reported them to my credit card company.
