He's at it again! Lee Fairbanks (aka Cowboy Junk Removal and Barrio Design) is our very own modern-day Dillinger. *** ********* who was just given another lease on life (recently had heart surgery) decides to keep scamming people out of their hard-earned money. I wrote the elderly man a $900 check on 5/20/24 for a decomposed granite job. This was approximately half of what he was charging me for 20 tons of DG. After several calls and text back and forth, he never came through, never completed the job at all. He was happy to cash the check the next day on 5/21/24. He is working without a license as well. Someone needs to nab this robber before he finds another victim!Initial Complaint

Date of contract: September 15, 2022 Rock and Redesign front yard and add some matching gravel. Back yard add chat gravel and spread evenly. $2410+$125(tax)= $2535 paid in FULL on September 16, 2022 18months later Barrio Design has been at our residence twice to spray for weeds. Once in front yard and once in back yard. Lee refuses to show up with countless excuses. He was given a 60day notice to do the job or we were taking action against him. He still did not show up or try to reconcile with us.Initial Complaint

All communication with Mr. Fairchild was ABUSIVE. He took money and did not complete the work. He made promises that were never met. Overall, a 2,300 dollar job was cashed in, yet the landscaping was not done. We agreed on a landscaping job. Mr. Fairchild was effective when acquiring the work. Once the contract was confirmed and the check was cashed, he did not return calls and he missed appointments. After he supposedly completed the landscaping, he did not follow through with confirmed appointments and never returned.Business response

Mrs. Herbolich hired me to work on her front and back yard lawns. Her front yard was very thick with thatch and in very poor condition. Her back yard had some light grass but it was also in poor condition. I suggested we dethatch her front yard and add steer manure and in the back yard add grass seed and fertilizer .She agreed with this and we agreed to start in a few days. This was a two day job. We showed up on the day agreed and completed the job the second day. Mrs. Herbolich and I walked the job at completion and she wasvery happy with the results. She was scheduled to leave town the next day for a vacation trip. I came by the next day and all sprinklers were working well. A week later I stopped by and the front yard was a lush green. I did not go on her property but I did look over the wall and it was also a very lush green. Two weeks after the job completetion I called Mrs Herbolich and she told me how pleased she was with the work. As recently as last Friday I drove by and from the street I observed the grass was lush and green. I would ask specifically what Mrs. Herbolich would like me to do. I hired Barrio Design (*** *** *********) to install a carport on 7/1/2022 and prepaid him over half of the cost for the work. The only thing accomplished was removal of tree on the site. It has been 6 months and there is still no carport. He is not returning calls and two letter returned that were mailed to the place of business, including a certified letter.Business response
