This week I had an exam with *** ******* ****** at Clarity Eye Center. Dr. Carter was professional and won my trust. The complaint I have is with ******* at the front desk. Yesterday I called and asked for my medical records from their office. ******* told me that she didn't know whether or not she could give them to me, and if she could, that I could only obtain paper copies. She also said that I wanted them soon, I would have to come to their office to pick them up. I understand that I have a legal right to my records and I very likely also have the right to an electronic version of the records. There is no reason to delay the release of the records to me, nor is there reason for ******* to require me to go to the office to pick up the records.Business response

Patients are entitled to their records. We support patients getting copies of their records. We had a misunderstanding and miscommunication and I called personally and discussed this with the person who placed the complaint and she agrees. I appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 21688603, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
