From visits to Athlon aka "Movement For Life" in Tucson, Arizona on October 23, October 31, and November 7th 2023 I was given the impression at the office that my $40 copay would cover services received and agreed to. However, several months later this office proceeded to charge me more money, unexpectedly. For example, on Dec 15th, 2023 they billed me for a total of $97.60 (receipt attached). Now, in April 2024 they are further requesting $94.24. I called my insurance (Premera) and they confirmed that for the latest additional charges being requested of me from Movement For Life, the Movement for Life offices at **** * **** ****** *** ******* ** ***** applied an incorrect "prefix" and later on Premera also received a "duplicate invoice" from Movement For Life which was denied by Premera. I spoke with the front office at **** * **** ****** ** ***** **** and they left a subsequent voice message stating "I guess it wasn't posted yet..." regarding Movement for Life's verification of my insurance's benefits and details. This ambiguity in potential "guess" work for what is/not covered from the customer and then charging them further money beyond their expectations does not seem reasonable. In sum, it looks like I'm paying 97.60 (already paid, "receipt.pdf") + $94.24 (134.24 - 40 copay, "img"; being disputed) -- quite unexpectedly and several months after receiving services and paying deductibles in person. Further, the practice of giving customers the impression that their bills are settled for the day upon completing services at they physical location but then billing them several months later on the account of potential guesswork does not seem quite appropriate and should be addressed by BBB.
