Company refuses to remove me from their postal mailing list --I want them to stop sending me junk mail.Business response

Dear Better Business Bureau,
This responds to recent correspondence I received from your office regarding a complaint filed by a Tucson area resident. The complaint was in regard to the person requesting to be removed from Homevestors mailing list. I received 3 separate letters from the BBB but they all relate to the same complaint and for reference the claim numbers are: 18397689, 19581912 & 20022415.
In the complaint, the person requested their address (shown below) be permanently removed from our mailing list and we share no information with a 3rd party. I can confirm the address has been removed and mail solicitations will stop. The person may receive one additional mail piece since we have mail in route as this is written. Regarding sharing data, Homevestors never shares consumer data with a 3rd party.

As background, Homevestors is in the business of buying homes and we send out mail pieces on a regular basis to those who may be interested in selling to us. As a franchisee of Homevestors, I can assure you we value privacy and have no interest is sending mailers to people who are not potential home sellers.
Every mail piece we send has both a phone number and website that can be used by consumers to be removed from the mailing list. Occasionally a removal request may be unsuccessful if the address provided by the consumer does not match closely with the address in our database. This is probably what occurred in this case as we have no record of a prior request to remove the address in question.
