On 3/17/21, Zona Mechanical, LLC replaced an exhaust fan motor and belt. The cost was $479.06 for the motor and parts, $750 for 7.5 hours of labor, and a Truck Charge $80 for 2 trips with the truck. The total was $1350.74. On 9/15/21, the motor stopped working. The technician with Zona Mechanical told me that the motor stopped working because the wrong motor was installed. The technician told me that they were unable to get the correct motor for the application at the time so they installed an incorrect motor. He confirmed that they are able to return the motor under warranty, but the correct motor is still unavailable. The company, where the motor was purchased, offered to replace the broken motor with a new one, but it will not be the correct motor for the job again. Zona Mechanical offered to replace the broken motor with another incorrect motor, for a charge of 4 hours labor plus the cost of parts. This would be another $440. We would like a refund of the $479.06 motor cost.
