Premier Pools and Spas, J1778 LLC, ROC ******, in ****, ** has had its contracting license suspended (last status update on the ****** website was 07/14/2023). We have been unable to reach any points of contact from this company for the past 2 months. Their physical business building has their doors permanently shut and the owner is filing (or has already filed) for bankruptcy.We signed an ******* Construction Contract for a fiberglass pool installation, along with the related equipment, to also include a custom concrete rock grotto structure with plumbing and electrical, a rectangle tanning ledge, and concrete decking around these structures. This contact was signed 04/23/2022 for the amount of $133,380, and as of today (07/20/2023) the work has not been completed. We have paid a total of $113,373 to Premier Pools and Spas so far. The fiberglass pool still has to be backfilled, no tanning ledge has been installed, the rock grotto structure was never started, and no concrete decking around these structures. We have substantial documentation of our contract, our payments made, and the group text message conversations between us and the points of contact for Premier Pools and Spas over the lack of progression over their work, including zero contact from them over the past 2 months.There was also failure by Premier Pools and Spas to initially consider and include On-Site Water Retention plans/schematics when making permit applications to the ************ for our swimming pool construction project. The initial plans for our pool installation and additional structures was approved by the ************, but were rejected twice later due to failing city on-site inspections.We have already filed a complaint with the ******************************** and the ******* Attorney General over over this matter. Premier Pools and Spas has broken their legally binding contract with us by abandoning their work, shutting down their company, and their pending bankruptcy.
