On January 21,2024 we sent in An application for Renewal of Fictitious Business Name along with a check made out to Legal Desk for $149.00. . They cashed the check to perform the service but never filed the renewal. I tried phoning the number but it is not a working line. Emailed them but no response. It is expiring soon. We ended up having to take care of it ourselves. I believe this is a SCAM business.Business response

This is first I have heard of *************** complaint. I do not recall speaking with her. She sent a request to have ** refile her FBN which we did and sent her the prepared legal documents on January 26, 2024 to be signed and notarized. We never received them back. In looking at the LA County Website it shows she filed it herself on March 19, 2024, File #**********. We do have a policy for returns, that they send the original paperwork back, we give it to our bookkeeper and a refund check is sent out.
I tried to call her from the number in this complaint and I had to leave a message. I will tell her what I typed above, and yes she is *********** a refund.
We work hard to provide good customer service and will continue to give it. Thank you for your services.

I am rejecting this response because: I never received any paperwork back so I cant send the original back for refund. We tried calling the phone number numerous times and it does not work, and also they do not respond to any emails.

We wanted to file a renewal for our Fictitious Business Name Statement and we received a reminder. We wrote 2 checks. One was written on 7/22/2021 for $149 to Legal Desk and was cashed on 7/28/2021. Check #*****. The second check was for $31 and was supposed to be used as a filing fee with the county clerk of Los Angeles. That check was never cashed and the filing never took place as we have no stamp from the court on our paperwork. We are now losing our DBA as the bank has said it's expired. This is causing us a problem. We would like to have the $149 returned immediately so that we can seek another resolution to this problem. The phone number for the company they listed does not have any answering message and no one picks up. We need to resolve this quickly as it is causing our company problems. They do not answer our questions about what happened to the checks we sent and why is our DBA no longer accepted at our bank.Business response

There was no reply to two emails and 3 phone messages. It appears he doesn't want to renew his FBN. If I don't hear from him by March 31st, I will reimburse his $149. We have not received a refund and we would like a refund or zero services rendered.
