Ordered accessories from their Kickstarter program over two years ago and never received items. Just constant runaround with their horrid customer service. Asking me for proof when I send them my proof of payment. They will doing anything to confuse you and keep going in circles. I will never support Segway again and will recommend other move on from them as a business.Review from Jennifer B

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. This large company wants me to go get a brand new Segway out of the box fixed on my own dime. All I want is a new one to replace this one and I will send them back the old one but they cant seem to get that together.Review from Lauren B

2 stars for the pour, sweet soul I spoke to today. I understand human beings have no choice but to work for terribly run organizations sometimes and I believe this may be ****************. Our 17-year-old son had his Ninebot Escooter for 6 weeks when the brake abruptly stopped working. I contacted the company and they told me after I shared all correlating information to our serial number, model and accompanying photos that the part was out of stock and we had no choice but to ship it back to them to repair. We had to provide the box ($41.50 to purchase such a sizable box) and they would cover the postage. Theyve had it since February 6th. They told us it was inspected on February 7th when I called to follow up. Not a word since. I have called in multiple times and spoken to some pleasant people and some very **** people, each with no more power than myself to get the scooter back in my sons hands. Today I held them accountable to the given timeline. The employee, ******, that I spoke to on February 13th went so far as to count out the calendar days with me as I asked him to reasonably set our expectations. Turn around times are standard practice in any job category. He told me I would hear back today and I did not. I asked for a Supervisor or anyone with power to give an actual update on the scooter. No Supervisor available. No place to call for an update. More nothing. I asked if this issue could be escalated and the poor, sweet soul on the line said Id be contacted but couldnt verify how, when, or by who.I just received this follow up email from the aforementioned **** employee:Dear ******,As I explained on the phone last week, your unit was inspected by our service center on 2/7. It will take **** working days for the progress. I will contact the service center and get back to you once I have an update.Best Regards ****** Segway Customer Support I thought ********************** was the top of the line. I made the mistake of purchasing a "Segway" scooter (model F30S) - the very first time I had it charged I got barely 7 miles - and it has been barely 7 miles (mostly less)I contacted their "customer support" - they said to try a few things (take handle bar, clean/connect and so on) - no change contacted them back - asked me for a bunch of information - finally said "You did not purchase it from an authorized dealer"Really?I had assumed that Segway will stand behind its product - turns out they do not.Beware - avoid Segways - they are not what they claim.Review from WALTER V

THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN. I SPENT OVER $2,000.00 ON TWO ITEMS NOT COUNTING SHIPPING. THE FIRST ITEM, I BOUGHT TO FUSE INTO THE SECOND ITEM. WELL, AS IT TURNS OUT, THE SECOND ITEM DOES NOT ACCEPT THE FIRST ITEM. (NINEBOT S *** WITH THE ***** KIT) NO ONE TOLD ME THERE IS NO SOFTWARE FOR THIS MERGER. Overall, I would give a negative score for this company if it's possible. I was furious about this shopping experience.Here are some details. Worst shopping experience ever. Didn't receive my scooter after two weeks, just the complimentary helmet, and the order status was processing. So I emailed them and asked what was happening. The first reply was a return shipping label, which I never asked for. After like 4-5 emails, they finally explained that the promo code I used in my order was invalid, which was the reason why they canceled my order. The company had TWO WEEKS to process it, but they wanted the customer to forget what they bought and tried to steal money from their customer. What made me even angrier are these:1. The customer support person, "****", always addresses me as Mr./Ms., even after I've sent more than 6 emails and I've made a point of ******* my name and increasing the font size. To make matters worse, another customer support person misspelled my name.2. Also this "****". I was traveling at that time, and I told her I'd return that once I arrived home. I don't understand how dare a customer support person to urge their customer when they already know I was not convenient at that time. I was deeply confused and began to question what world I was in.Segway, Inc. Response

I purchased a $650 Segway scooter for my son for Christmas. We have a battery issue in May and I followed the customer service instructions for the warranty claim. Since then they have made me ship back the scooter 3 times, each time it comes back with the exact same issue it left with. I have not had a working scooter for 4 months. I email about my issue almost daily and Segway only responds in the middle of the night and usually the response doesn't even make sense - it seems like customer service might be handled in a country where English is not a familiar language. They tell me to do one thing and then say no never mind actually do this. Since the scooter has gone to ********** and back from ******* 3 times is now has additional damage which they said is due to my use. I would like a replacement scooter or my money back at this point. They will not allow me to speak to a supervisor when I call, just always tell me to ship the scooter to CA again. I recommend no one ever buy a Segway!!! Buyer beware.Review from Amber M

Purchased 2 Segway ninebot s self balancing scooters for Christmas 2021. 1. The poor design allows your foot to unlatch the pole that is inserted to lean and guide the direction. Which happened and my partner face planted 2. We used zip ties to use the machines to prevent #1 from happening to my children.3. October, November 2022 the poles where you adjust the height, it has cracked and therefore unsafe AGAIN. I contacted tech support as a year was coming up per manufacture warranty, I was informed not to use the machines and replacement parts would be issued. Several months go by, hear nothing, reach out again and was informed the order was cancelled and it's being issued again. Once again, months go by and still nothing, reached again and same response. Here it is ***** of 2023 and still nothing, I've emailed again and have been told 3x now the order has been cancelled and it's getting put back in. I'm about to reach out to attorney, if these were a a hundred or couple hundred dollars ok...But i Spent OVER $1,000 on each of these.The customer service sucks!!! I want a full refund as I provided the information of proof of purchase and the malfunctioned pictures since I can't seem to get anywhere with emails/phone calls to receive the replacement parts!!!Review from David J

I purchased a Segway Go Kart kit directly from the Segway Store in February of this year. A bad weld , very inadequate weld, failed on the steering column support bracket. This vehicle was being driven by my 12 year old son who weighs less than 100lbs under normal driving conditions. Thankfully my son was able to bring the kart safely to a stop without injury. This was a catastrophic failure that could have resulted in injury or at worse loss of life. I filed a claim and the support team, who struggled to effectively communicate. I provided photos of the steering column support bracket where the small weld broke away from the support post. This was the only damage to the kart. This claim was rejected claiming we abused the vehicle..FALSE. I previously have purchased 3 Segway ninebot s units that have performed well. I purchased this kart with the intent of purchasing two others. This experience will result in not only loss of this customer but I plan on lobbying against the brand. I have since voided my worthless warranty by providing a superior weld to the bracket as I am a licensed welder. A shame.concernand a big disappointment from a long time supporter and promoter of the brand.Segway, Inc. Response

Bought a scooter 2 weeks ago with a helmet. Helmet showed up unannounced. Scooter still up in the air. **************** sounds like and automated response system and not an actual person. If these scooters were $5 dollars I would not care but we are talking about hundreds of dollars of well earned money. Given them until the end of the week and then cancelling the order. Time to look for ***************** that values all customers and have a customer service plan to attend the needs of all customers. Must def do your research before investing your dollars in this company's items/toys. The pandemic is over, bring your customer service peeps back into the office or have them pick up the phones lines. If you do not have enough, then hire some more. Only wish there were some negative star ratings.Segway, Inc. Response

We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. We are investigating this case. It seems there was a glitch that prevented the large package from shipping out. We have confirmed that it was shipped yesterday and the customer will receive the tracking number directly from us.
