1/19/2022 PSA for a home sale Thomas James Homes backed out of the sale two weeks before closing. TJ did not fulfill their contract. TJH Is now not releasing the memorandum of sale on our title which is inhibiting us from a further sale. *** Is trying to extort money from us/seller. TJH wants their NRF ******* money returned & will then release the memorandum. This is not only unethical but also, Illegal. Our PSA is too large to upload but I will try to resize and re-send.Business response

In February 2022, I received a notice from the city that the property owner next door to mine applied to demolish the building, and that I should reach out to the property owner for more information on the project. The contact name listed was Chantilly ***** with the phone number *************. I called, and discovered that Thomas James Homes was the entity applying to demolish the house. I left a voicemail expressing I wanted more information about the project. I waited and had no response. I called again the following day, left a voicemail, and there was no response again. After leaving a third message, I finally received a call back from ***** who works with the company. His phone number is *************. He confirmed that Thomas James Homes was tearing down the building in order to build another building. As the ******************* recommended that permit applicants share project information with neighbors who are affected by the construction, ***** told me he would text me the plans for the building. ***** sent me nothing. I texted him again the following day requesting the plans that he promised, no response. I texted him again on March 8th requesting the plans again, and he did not respond.As ***** expressed he would send me plans and has failed to do so, I am asking the company to send me the plans for the proposed project at ******************************************************************Business response

We apologize for not reaching out again to this consumer. None of the people mentioned in the complaint work for Thomas James Homes in ****. We have improved communication initiatives weve put in place since this complaint in 2022.
