Below: Email to business plus more information on my part (sent twice and they never replied)Hello,My name is *********************** and have been a customer at ********************** Tires in ****************, since November 2022. I've spent almost $2600.00.My recent visit was a total of $977.13 (includes a $200.00 deposit paid earlier).Invoice info: date 2/23/2023 Invoice number: ******** I rented a car for 19 days for a job that should have taken no more than 4 days in my opinion. The manager *******************, was friendly and professional, but I fell victim to horrible timing and not a lot of urgency as it related to my car being fixed. Between a defective part, a part delay, some employee sick calls, I was forced to wait and incur charges in a rental car. **** and his staff need two things: urgency and more staffing. I don't want to complain about **** since he was trying his best according to him. But towards the end, I was fuming and starting to get irritated and annoyed, again, it was a 19 day rental. Although he said he'd pick up most of the rental charges in an email (via a reduced repair bill) I didn't really see anything except for a $100.00 discount (proof is in invoice). I am not sure how the $977.13 invoice total came about, but if you can look into this, that would be great!I paid $939.30 for the rental with Enterprise for a 19 day rental to replace a heater core/actuator/module and a total of $977.13 for the repair bill to Discount Tires for a total of: $1916.43. I chose to get a rental, and didn't expect to use it for more than 4 days and always pay *************. However, considering these unique and unusual circumstances, my level of anger, frustration and inconvenience, I would like to request a reimbursement for 15 days @ $49.43 (daily rental rate for me), which comes out to: $741.45 in reimbursement. So far, I am in debt $1916.43 for a heater core/actuator job that took 19 days to complete, is this ok with you? The rental, cost almost more than the job itself! If I were your accounting department, I would just write off this whole transaction considering the extreme nature of the duration and all the other stuff that had nothing to do with me, yet I paid for in: anxiety, stress, irritation, time, and money. Again, how did this end up to be a 19 day job?? How?I don't want to leave a bad review (this is it) and most likely won't return to Discount Tires, but there needs to be a consideration for people's time and money. There needs to be efficiency. Put yourself in my shoes, how would you feel, if you were in a rental car for 19 days for a job that should've been wrapped up way way earlier? Please let me know your thoughts on this and if you can issue me a refund to my card or check in the amount requested.Thank you for reading this and hope you can understand where I am coming from as a consumer.***********************

Took my car in for oil change. When removing the reminder sticker from the windshield, they said the previous sticker caused the tint to be pulled off. Problem is that they "conveniently" could not find the sticker that caused the damage. The company they tried to blame the issue on has no proof that their sticker caused the problem. I contacted ***** from Discount tire and he said he would find me a good deal on tint 'to help me out" but would not cover any portion. The cost for replacement is $480.

Customer has already complained to the ********************** that put in the oil change sticker in question and they have already agreed to pay him for the claim he has, why would customer get paid twice on something that was not our fault?  we stand behind our work 100% but removing a oil change sticker from a car should not damage a vehicle with a proper tint job.  if there was a failure with the sticker or incorrect sticker installed on vehicle that would be the fault of the person who worked on the car the time prior.  oil change stickers are static cling most often and would be almost impossible to create any damage.  bottom line is customer is trying to get 2 companies to pay him for the same issue.

The statement they are making is incorrect. The other company, whom I feel is stepping up even without proof, has offered to cover a portion. The total is $485 and they are willing to pay $300, which is generous. You can call them and ask, but I told him I think Discount is responsible for the entire amount, but if they were willing to split it that would be more than fair. So to make an accusation that I am trying to get paid twice is ludicrous. However, Im not opposed to getting paid for my time spent dealing with this entire issue. As a consumer that just went in for an oil change to get caught in the middle of a back and forth and time spent dealing with this is ridiculous. Also, before the other company stepped up, ***** at discount made it clear they were not going to help at all. Zero responsibility and somehow could not produce the evidence that it was another companies fault.

Damage customer is claiming is not related to our service and not caused by our personnel or our products.

it was 100% caused by them. They can claim it was another companies product, but they have yet to furnish that product, therefore they are liable.

On May 11th, 2022, I took my fifth-wheel trailer to a Discount Tire & Service Center in ******, ** for new tires. I sat in the waiting room while they were doing this. I have a bad back and can not sit long so I got up to walk around. The young man performing the job was removing the fender on the driver's side of the *** I asked him why he was doing this and he said " I have to remove it to get the tire off". I told him he did not need to do this, just **** the trailer up a little more. and went back inside. When I got back inside I told the manager, *******************, that the kid was removing my fender, and I told the kid that he did not have to do that, and **** said "yeah he's a new kid".After they were done I took the trailer back home to finish packing for a trip. The tires were put on a Wednesday. I did not notice any wrong until I was closing the trailer and getting ready for the trip. Then I noticed the driver-side fender that the installer removed was falling off and the wheel hub under was smashed in. This was Friday the 13th. I immediately took the trailer back to ***************. He told me, "yeah that kid was fired". **** then told me the kid probably used a hammer to remove the hub (they are inserted from the inside) and I said yeah, that is obvious. I also showed him the fender. He said he would order the hub but had no idea how to order a fender and said if I could find one they would pay for it. I went back home and tried to make a temporary repair for the trip. Two of the 4 screws that held the fender on were tightened so much they broke through the fender. I put new screws with washers on to try to hold it, but when I got to my destination the fender had fallen off. Probably because the glue seal around the fender was broken which caused vibration.See attached for more info

On June 10, 2022 I went to Discount Tire & Service Centers in ******************** to have an oil change. While there they recommended that get my rear brakes done, along with the oil change for $250.00 dollars. Another recommendation that was made was to have my rear shocks and struts replaced, which I denied because I was not having any problems with my shocks and/or struts. Upon my leaving their place of business I began to notice a lot of squeaking and squeeling that was coming from the rear of my car. Keep in mind, before I took my vehicle to them I was not having any problems with the rear of my car making these types of noises, nor, was I experiencing any issues with my shocks and/or struts. The only logical explanation that I can come up with that explains why I'm now having these problems, would be if someone intentionally loosened up some bolts that would make it appear to be that something was wrong with my car, when in reality there it wasn't. I feel that this was a deliberate ruse, an attempt to get me to spend money on repairs that were not required. When I called them on June 14th to make them aware that I am aware that they intentionally did something to cause these issues that I am now experiencing, the manager named ********************* insists on making this a contentious debate. To the consumers stay away from this company! I'll see their ***** in court.

Discount Tire & Service Centers stands behind our work and our recommendations.  We are a family owned and operated company serving our community honestly and with integrity for over 45 years.  We would be happy to have the customer meet with our Vice President at one of our stores and inspect the vehicle with him, note any deficiencies or issues and let him see the work that we provided to him.

the inference that we would damage the customers vehicle to entice him to do additional work is not valid and absolutely false.  If the customer would like to have his vehicle inspected at another facility that is his right but we will not pay for the inspection.  The customer has a full warranty at our facility for any work that we have performed on his vehicle and we will be happy to honor any warranty on those services.

Our Vice President is reaching out to customer to try to schedule an inspection with him.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that it is the first step that I am willing to agree to meet with the Vice President to discuss the incident. The better business does not in ANY way speak for me in ANY way. However, I am interested to listen to see how Vice President is willing address this issue with me directly. For the record, this does not in ANY way suggest that I consider this matter resolved, because at this stage, this remains to be an ongoing issue as far as *************************** is concerned. I am open to having a discussion at this point about how to resolve this issue, and nothing else. I reserve my rights to seek any other legal recourse that I deem necessary in which to resolve this matter, if a resolution is not reached with the Vice President of this company.

      Regards,

      ***************************

I took my car in on October 2021 to Discount tires to check on a bounce that my car had. At the time they said it was my control arms. At that time I didn't have money to get it fixed. Recently, I went back to get my oil change and also now to fix my control arms that they said again needed to be fixed for the bounce. I was charged $1400 for the bounce of my car not being fixed. it wasn't the control arms like they suggested now they are saying it's my transmission. something they can't fix. If they would've said that from the first place. I would get my transmission fixed. I want my money back. I didn't even need to fix my control arms. for my 2016 GMC Arcadia.
