I stayed at the Holiday ********* from 9/3/22 to 9/5/22 and was charged a $100 smoking fee when I DID NOT smoke in the room.Upon receiving this charge, I called Holiday Inn, where I was told that the general manager would NOT be willing to speak to me about this issue and that they will not consider issuing a refund due to the room having a odor of marijuana. While I sympathize that it may be harder for housekeepers to sanitize a room due to the smell of cannabis, the fact is that I did not smoke in the room. If I were to observe a policy where Holiday Inn prohibits the possession of marijuana on their property, I would have left it in my vehicle. Furthermore, the manager I am referring to personally observed me smoking outdoors late at night and (seemingly) kindly told me to take it to the parking lot which I did. For her to accuse me of smoking in the room, is accusing me of disregarding what she told me in person and that I had allegedly spitefully smoked inside the room, which is ludicrous. As a result, I need to bring the attention to BBB and Holiday Inn of this manager who employs extremely unethical tactics and does not perform the duties of a manager. Aside from the false charge of $100 when I did not smoke. There are other issues in the hotel the ** in the lobby is broken, the front door is locked after 10 pm and the sign says to use the card key to get into the side door My card key didnt work. I had to call the hotel to let me inside after 10 pm, and even then, I had to call them multiple times to answer. As a result of the trouble Holiday Inn and its manager has put me through, I would like BBB to assist me in getting my whole trip refunded on top of the $100 smoking fee that is false. Total charges Id like refunded to my credit card is $401.96. $301.96 was paid to stay from Sept 3 to 5.
