So I contacted Carrington because they have my house loan, and requested a Home Equity Loan I spoke with ************************* and went through the process, tons of emails back and forth, he let me know I was approved for my loan, then requested my bank statements, had me pay for an appraisal, spoke with the title company, we even discussed amount and monthly payments, then he sends me an email and says since my wife is on my checking account she has to be on the loan, (that is a lie) she isn't even on my original loan. I explained my wife went through a divorce and her ex created a credit nightmare so she couldn't be on the loan, an no rule requires her to be on it. He said if she couldn't be on it he was going to cancel the loan, and he did without my permission or actual grounds to do so, I have contacted Carrington with no resolution, my next step will have to be through the court system and filing against his ***** insurance if he even has any, he lied and tried to cover up the fact he had no clue what he was doing. Carrington needs to fund this loan and fire Hunter, who has a huge US ************ sign on his email signature, he needs to remove that because Marines have honor and he doesn't.

The absolute worst, dishonest and evil company to exist. Do not trust them with your mortgage and if you end up with this company because they bought your mortgage, refinance with another company ASAP. Carrington is the only mortgage company that its lenders have formed its own support group on FB to help deal with their games and the horrible situations they have put so many people in. Search on fb (Carrington mortgage services sucks) If this isnt enough to scare you away, search lawsuits and ongoing investigations. This company should be shut down. They are dishonest and their main goal appears to take peoples homes in the most dishonest ways. Its heartbreaking what they are putting people through.

If I could have it my way I wouldn't give this company any stars. They are money hungry and will take your money. All the reviews I'm reading with 1 Star are true. They don't care. My mortgage keeps going up and I'm worried that I'll lose my home. As soon as Canton bought my loan, my payment went up almost 100 bucks. We are currently trying to find another mortgage company, I'm hoping...

If I can give 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!!!!! I have been with Carrington Mortgage Services forever and I pay my mortgage monthly, BUT WHEN ASKED FOR MONTHLY BILLING STATEMENTS THEY are UNABLE TO PROVIDE THEM TO ME! What company does not have billing statements. Spoke to ***** today and he stated there was an issue with my account, which does not make sense I make monthly payments. He stated he has never experience this before. Claims I am the only person with this issue. Which by the way I called Monday requesting for it, and was informed I had to wait 48 hours, so today is 48 hour and now i need to wait another 24 hours to MAYBE get a statement.I guess need to contact a lawyer for assistance to obtain a monthly billing statement

top to bottom worst mortgage company overall..they couldnt accept my payment and docs are always invalid the day of payment keeping me constantly behind or having to put the same docs in overcourse the amounts increase. Been trying to cover them since Feb24 its now JULY!

***** mortgage is who I initially started my loan with. I was forced to merge to another lender in 2023 by the name of Carrington mortgage services LLC. From the time I signed the loan to purchase the home in 2020 to this July of 2024 my mortgage was $597.42. Carrington since then has increased my escrow $16.59 plus a 12 month shortage payment of $26.68 for the next 12 months adding up to a new total of $642.85 per month. I am a blue collar worker not even making a full $30 an hour to provide for my family of 5. This is without a doubt unethical and morally wrong coming from a multi million dollar corporation in Carrington mortgage services LLC. Im hoping this can help motivate the move in the right direction to not allow such fraudulent practices. I say fraudulent because I have no say and am in the mercy of this corporation to whatever number they decide to say is the number for that year. I also say fraudulent because if they continue to raise the escrow with the intent that I can no longer pay then the house becomes theirs to resell. How can this be allowed? This is the definition of a scandalous company and in my opinion a criminal act. I asked for the contract so I can see where it says they can adjust the escrow at any time. But regardless if its in there or not. One cant get a house without signing them. So at the end of the day they are all fraudulent and unethical. It ultimately comes down to the BBB to help insure that society is no longer taken advantage of by eliminating certain phrases to be allowed in contracts made by lenders.

My mortgage was sold to Carrington almost a year ago and we have had nothing but issues since. I mail in my payment by Priority Mail so that I have tracking to confirm when they recieved it. We pay our mortgage on the 15th of every month, always have. For the last three months they have failed to process our payments in a timely manner resulting in late fees. This month however, hasn't even been processed and it's the end of the month already. I have provided a copy of the top portion of the cashier's check mailed, a copy of the **** Priority receipt, and a snapshot of the tracking information showing it was recieved. Today is the third time this month I've reached out to them and nothing has been resolved and yes, they have once again charged us a late fee. I would highly NOT recommend this company. I would've given no stars if it was an option.

Carrington Mortgage deserves 0 stars. I've always questioned how legit they were.My payment is due on the 1st each month and up to the 16 to pay. I've always paid on the 16th for the past over 20 years. After covid I experienced a very hard financial blow and had all of my bills run into late payments. In April of this year I asked one of their representatives if I could have my payment scheduled the end of the month instead of the 16th. She explained that once it's made after the 16th, it's late. I explained to her that for right now I didn't have the means to pay by the 16th so I didn't mind paying late fees if I could pay later in the month as I was getting social security every 4th Wednesday of the month. She said that would be okay. I was happy about that and she confirmed with me that she would, and she did set it up for the 4th Wednesday of every month. This was then confirmed and settled. I was on the phone with her for some time to have this done. A few weeks later they called because of the lateness of the payment, I explained to this caller what transacted with the previous caller about paying the 4th Wednesday of every month. A few weeks later I got a third call, I had to explain again. then on the 4th Wednesday of May - May 22nd two (2) payments were withdrawn from my checking account, leaving it in the negative and an overdraft fee. When I called to ask them to reverse the second payment, they said that I made the request for both payments and they cannot reverse it, that my bank had to handle that. This exact situation happened last year. They said the time it would take to reverse this payment would run into **** when the next payment is due. In the meantime my account is in the negative and I have to pay an overdraft fee. I had never had to look for a mortgage company, but I am now looking for one because they have left a very bitter taste in my mouth, I am ready to sacrifice and pay to change to a company who is functioning with integrity.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!They dropped my husband's credit score fifty points for being ONE day late sending them a wire transfer of over $92,000 payoff! ONE day! It's literally like they said, thanks for paying off your loan and to show you how much we appreciate it, here's a delinquent hit to your credit for being one day late. Stay far far away. They're terrible to their customers.

All I wanted was to use my equity to pay off some debt. The loan officer was very helpful at first but did not share options fully with me regarding ways to use my equity. He only told me about using it and increasing my home loan. Which was not something we wanted to do. I called the company seeking information about other options after not hearing back from my loan officer and they did not help they only directed me back to the loan officer. I finally got the information and made my decision to do a second mortgage (against the loan officers suggestion) and now I was sent closing documents to sign which the 25k loan (amount i needed) is now 200k. Im glad i checked before signing. Its been a nightmare to say the least.
