I had contracted with Garage Experts International's (GEI) local franchise. I was asked to pay a 50% deposit that would be used to purchase materials and told it would take approximately 1 month for the materials to be delivered. A few weeks after I paid the deposit, I followed up to see when we could schedule the installation. A couple of days later, I received an email from GEI stating they had withdrawn the franchise license from the local franchise. *** said the franchisee intended to return deposits. *** provided no additional information on next steps, whom to contact with questions, etc. It took me a couple of emails to even get the franchise's insurance information from GEI, which initially said they don't keep that information on file. I managed to reach the spouse of the franchisee, who told me that with the franchise license withdrawn, it would be nearly impossible for the family to earn money to pay back the deposit. I'm deeply disappointed in ***'s lack of communication, inability/unwillingness to provide assistance in getting my deposit back, and lack of follow up or follow through. ***, did however, remind me twice that another of their local franchise might be available to do the work. *** has made no attempt whatsoever to "make things right." Instead, they are trying to steer me towards entering into a new contract with a different franchisee.Initial Complaint

Installation date 2018 Please read all the documentation provided in the attachment. I bought a floor because of the lifetime warranty from GarageExperts. I have been trying to have someone fix the peeling and bubbling in my floor since 2020. I was very proactive in monitoring these issues. The franchise was apparently only in business for under 3 years. The franchisee will not respond to BBB in PA. BBB in PA suggested that I contact BBB for the home office address. GarageExperts will not send anyone out to fulfill their lifetime warranty obligation. The contract specifically states that peeling is covered yet they responded that peeling is NOT covered and there is no one in the area that can come out to see the issues. All documentation including emails and photos are in the attachment. GarageExperts website states that you have the confidence of knowing the work is done locally but additionally that you have the support of a national company. They are lying to the consumer. There is no support of a national company. There is no lifetime warranty. I chose this company because of the lifetime warranty. When I look up GarageExperts Corporate on ****** it states that the business is permanently closed. The corporate office needs to uphold their lifetime warranty. Why have they put on ****** that they are permanently closed -- trying to get out of lifetime warranty issues??Initial Complaint
