Filed dispute 1/22/22 over $712.95 charge(s) from ****** Airlines + ******* for cost of airline tickets we could not use because flight canceled due to Omicron. Filed refund request with ****** 12/20/21. No response from ******. Dispute processing but SCU violated Fed law and charged me interest on the disputed amount. Refused to refund and while dispute is in arbitration continues to charge interest on the entire balance, even tho' balance minus the disputed amount has been paid. Their rep does not acknowledge Federal laws regarding disputed credit card charges, says they are allowed to charge interest on the entire amount. I ask for the interest of $12.24 to be credited to me and to let the dispute proceed. No response from SCU from my call or letter demanding refund of interest. They are now charging me interest on their first interest charge too.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference tocomplaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I don't recall being rude, just forceful with someone who did not understand federal law.I did not file my complaint to make SCU angry, but to try to protect myself and other customers who they might charge interest on amounts in dispute. Then I mailed them copies of the relevant federal regulations.That apparently made them really angry. Too bad that they cannot accept a view differing from theirs, even when I had the regulations clearly on my side. This is why the BBB process exists, to protect customers from businesses that want to do things wrong, not right. I thank the BBB for the chance to work out my complaint. The BBB was a big help to me.
