      Left my car with Cerritos Auto Center to find an oil leak and repair the leak. They had my care to 2 days and I rented a car from them. I paid $800.00 for this problem. After picking up the car and having it for 2 days I discovered that it was leaking large puddles now instead of the 2 small leaks that I originally had. I took the car back to them and letting them know that the problem had become worse. They again had the car for 3 days now and I had to rent a car for 3 days this time. I picked the car up on a Saturday, got on the freeway to go home and the Engine light came on and the car began to shack like it was going to cut off. So again, I took it back. Now they said I needed a new radiator. I paid for that and after having the car for a couple of days again, I still have huge oil leaks. I have since taken the car elsewhere and the cost to pick their inferior work is $********. They have refunded $*******, however in speaking with ****** I asked her to pay for the cover that goes under the car to protect the engine ($100.00) and she refused. Because of them my car has been in the shop for 3 days and I have ad to spend over $100.00 on **** to get to work. I would like for them to reimburse me for the cover and **** and well as sufficient compensation for half of this additional cost which comes to $********. Should the owner declne to acknowedge their snafu I will not withdraw my claim and I will have to seek legal ramification.

      Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/03/09) */ Contact Name and Title: **** ***** Manager Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ****************************** Customer brought in the car for us to check an oil leak on 2/3/22. We replaced VTEC Solenoid Gasket/ Oil Filter Housing Gasket/ Resealed the Bearing Cap side Bolts with Honda specified HT Silicone. Total came out to $799.85. We ran the car for few hours and did not see any leaks. Notified the customer to pick up the vehicle on 2/5/22. She picked up the vehicle on 2/5/22 and as she was driving on the freeway she noticed her vehicle shaking. She brought it back the same day she picked up her vehicle. We checked and noticed the VTEC solenoid wasn't working so we replaced the VTEC solenoid at No charge on 2/7/22. Customer picked up her vehicle on 2/7/22. 4 days later (2/11/22) we got a call from ********* stating her car was leaking more so we asked her to bring the vehicle back for us to check it out. She denied to bring the car back to our shop for warranty. She instead took the car to another shop and stated that she had the Timing chain cover/ Oil Pan / and Engine Oil replaced. She denied to send us an invoice of what she had done. Instead she wanted a refund for the full amount spent at our shop +rental car. Which we calculated to be $1,000.00. So we refunded her the full amount on 2/14/22. Then she asked us to pay for an engine under cover which was NOT on the vehicle when it first got here. So we denied the reimbursement for the engine under cover. Then she threatened to report this situation to BBB. Our records we have of her car previous to this repair are: 12/14/21 - Replaced Catalytic Converter -$******* 12/14/21 - Replaced Radiator - $185.30 5/5/21 - Resealed Oil Pan - $300.00 Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/03/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The engine cover was on my vehicle when I took the car to Cerritos auto repair originally for the oil leak, therefore they had to have removed it to work on the car. I would like to be reimbursed for that part which is $100.00 including tax. I have not factored in the cost of mounting. Because every time they work on my car another problem occurs. Upon receipt of the $100.00, then and only then will I withdraw my claim. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/03/22) */ Ok. We will give you the $100 plus tax. We refunded you the full amount of the repair done on your car without even looking at the problems you were having after it was repaired at our shop. Also we had communication with you the entire process. We contacted you to see if you got the full refund on your statement. We got no answer. Instead we got a letter from the BBB. We will send you a check. Consumer Response /* (2000, 16, 2022/03/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I feel that upon receipt of the $100.00 plus applicable ********** tax I will withdraw my claim. At such time, I will have been adequately compensated for their mishandling and mis diagnosing of my car. They should have said they could not fix the car.
