On July 2nd, the car purchased from Atwater Auto World; 2016 Chrysler 200 S experienced a electrical issue that caused a total lost. The car was purchased in September 2021, in February everything was up to date with maintenance as well as new tires on vehicle. I’m lead to believe after only having the car for 8 months there were issues beyond my control before the car was sold to me. On the passenger side of the car started to smoke , the car it’s self couldn’t accelerate or park and completely Malfunctioned. The driver and my self had no choice be to jump out the vehicle. I’m terribly traumatized by this situation and nothing was offered. I’m left with a balance on my leased car, repairs far exceeded the value of the car. In the end I’m left with no car and my personal items are destroyed.Business response

Hi ******, thanks for answering my questions, this customer in fact did buy a car from us on 9-02-2021, she bought the 2016 CHRYSLER 200 with 89,521, i do hope they are ok if the car did catch fire as she claims they had to jump out the car, it does sound like they had some type of electrical issue which caused some type of damage that some where she claims the car was deemed a total loss. At this point in her complaint, she may file a claim with her insurance company which she should have as she is financing this car with a bank called freeway funding and is required by law, unfortunately she didnt buy an extended warranty and by the sounds like it this sounds like an insurance claim, she should reach out there, also she no longer lives in california she now resides in Texas as her listed address on the complaint letter, we can not help at this time since her dealer warranty was only 30 days or 1000 miles. and shes way past that, i hope she gets the help from her insurance since she is required to have it, thanks again and one more thing, we have now knowledge of any damages that could have been done to the car since her purchase,
