On January 24th/25th, I contacted Norris Electric regarding my 10kw Generac home generator, that I purchased from them, having an error code and requested a technician to come a diagnose the problem. They came out on January 26th. No one was home, so we were not aware of what the issue was or what was done, nor did Norris Electric communicate to us what the issue was or what repairs were needed. I did not authorize any repair or maintenance. On January 31st, I received a **** from Norris Electric for $228.01. On February 2nd @ 2:15 PM, I called Norris Electric and spoke to ******, asking about the **** I received because I had not authorized the work that was done, thinking the error code would be covered by the manufacturer warranty as the generator is less than a year old. ****** told me that a spark plug was the recommended repair for the error code and proceeded to tell me she could remove the oil change they did without my approval. An oil change had just been done on January 3rd and wasnt needed yet. ****** also told me it would be $125 for the labor for the spark plug because she was including the driving time to get to my house for the technician. ****** was not understanding my concerns for being charged for maintenance I didnt authorize and transferred me to ***** **** proceeded to state it was my fault for thinking the malfunctions would be covered under warranty. I stated to **** that I hadnt been contacted before work was done and didnt authorize the work. **** asked if I was going to pay the **** and I stated No, I didnt authorize the work. **** then stated he would send the **** to collections and hung up on me. I then called Generac at 2:40 PM and spoke with ******. ****** stated the error code is due to low fuel pressure. Which makes sense as our propane tank was below 40% at the time. Norris Electric wants me to pay a **** I did not authorize, was disrespectful and made threats of collections.
