My vehicle was damaged when I was not inside of the vehicle my a technician at Speed away smog. Then smog was failed after hours of waiting. I visited Speed away smog on October 30, 2023 for a smog check and a repair certificate received from the ***********. In the amount of $800, should my vehicle require repairs in the case it did not pass smog. After 5 hours waiting at the smog shop the technician ************************ came out and advised the vehicle didn't pass smog and that I need to surrender to the *** and my repair cert. Was now voided although they didn't ask if I'd like to repair my vehicle in order to re- smog. The manager **** then advised that they forgot to place the vehicle in park when in motion and that they crashed and damaged the vehicle door but that'd they would try to find me another door by end of day. They didn't contact me until I filed a complaint report with the bureau of automotive which is on file now, they offered $500 cash to settle out of insurance. There was more than just damage to my door, also the rear bumper had visible damages. I contacted the speed away smog shop multiple times for their insurance information as I denied the cash offer and opted in to turning it into my insurance company. The smog shop refuses to turn over their insurance information to take responsibility and my insurance company is also unable to retrieve their insurance information. My insurance company called for the insurance info. To be collected and was hung up on by the owner ***********************. I had to pay my $250 deductible for repairs and total loss of my vehicle at this point. I am filing the complaint in request of the $250 deductible reimbursement and insurance information to my state farm to be surrendered as they are At Fault and I was not inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
