Incident occurred on 2/21/22 at 6:25pm. Paid for gas and a bag of chips priced at $2.39 (coin change amount may not be precise), using 2 x $20 bills ($40). When I returned to the gas pump, I only received $17.61 in gas. (Exactly $20 short). When I returned to the store to tell the cashier my pump stopped at $17.61, he insisted I only gave him $20. I told him that was incorrect that I gave him $40. He insisted again. He stated we could “look at the cameras”. I agreed to look at the surveillance footage with him as I knew for a fact I handed him $40. He then told me “you have to come back in the morning to see if my drawer is $20 over. I left the store and called the store the next morning. Spoke to a woman named sundeep who I explained the whole situation to. She told me I have to call back at 2:00pm to talk to the owners. I asked for the owners names and she hung up on me.i honestly feel like the male cashier who did this did it on purpose and I feel like I’m not the first person he’s potentially done this to. And I want it to be on record that this occurred for any future occurrences.Business response
