Early in 2024 I rented a unit from ** Storage, ******************************. I was notified that homeless had set fire to a unit down from mine and I had smoke damage. After moving to a new unit I decided to end my contract in March. The email from them said it could take two months to get a refund. I waited three months and nothing. Went to the facility on July 8 to ask why there was a delay. Assistant Property Manager ********************************* said she would investigate. I heard nothing for two weeks. I finally went to the facility on July 19 to say I was taking the matter to small claims court. Magically they said the refund was being processed. Not sure if it will come but the disrespect this company shows for its customers along with allowing homeless to live on the grounds makes this a business all should avoid.Initial Complaint

Today 02/22/24 at 9 am I went down there to pay on my storage unit # **** located at ***************************************************************************** the months I was behind after paying I was allowed access to my unit when I arrived to my unit I noticed 4 other units were charred and cut open my unit didn't have my original lock on it I lifted the door and noticed all my things were covered with dust which is expected but the dust that covered it wasn't dirty it was from the fire that took place there and smoke dust is what i called it all over my belongings i was pretty upset drove bak to gbe office and asked them to give me an explanation why i wasn't notified about the fire and that my things were at risk her response was " I was only told to notify the tenants whom the stuff belonged to but I didn't know it affected your things' still no reaching out to even give me the slightest resolution to my question was ever made the negligence of this business is just so shameful the got I have things that hae sentimental value tha no amount of money can replace those memories I'm wasn't given proper notification to the incident due to their negligence it's bad. Enough that I don't have much but the little things I have that belong to me are irreplaceable I want my money back and would like to be reimbursed all my valued items I can not tput those things in a house or an apartment due to the residue on the them from the fire
