I placed an online order for an Oxygen Concentrator at OxygenCareStore Oxygen Generator Machine Oxygen Concentrator POC-04 1 ORDER #O222790 on May 24, 2023. Within 10 days of using this unit it started making a horrible racket. I contacted OxygenCare ******************************* via shopifyemail.com at that time. EMAIL: I have 65 hours of use on this oxygen concentrator and it is no longer useable. It is making an awful racket.How can I return it for a working one?They avoided for me several days. I finally received a reply on June 17, 2023. I was literally avoided with ridiculous requests. I originally sent a short video via Gmail but was limited on size by ******* They then wanted me to set up a ******* account in order to send them a video. I finally was able to locate them on ******** and was successful sending a full video. ***********************************************. They then agreed to allow me to return the Concentrator on July 17, 2023 with a full refund instead of a replacement.We Paid $269 for the unit Plus over $60 for return shipping fees = $329 They returned July 25, 2023: (2 Full months later)Your order has been refunded Total amount refunded: $105.55 USD Can you help us get the rest of our money? This company is extremely hard to work with and their products are questionable at best.I tried filing this complaint to the **** BBB (which is my location) Apparently I needed to contact CA BBB. On June 9, 2023 I purchased online a Home Use High Purity Portable Oxygen Concentrator Order #******* for $329.00. When I received the box and before I opened it I contacted Oxygen Care Store via email and said that I wanted to return the concentrator as I had discovered it weighed 20 pounds which was too heavy for me and not divulged on their site.I was informed that there would be return fees so I reluctantly kept the box and on July 10, 2023 I decided to open the concentrator box. Upon opening the box there were major problems with the unit. It appeared used, dirty, missing a piece on the bottom which made it unstable and most disgusting was the bottom of the box contained insect droppings. I immediately contacted the company and sent them videos as they requested. On July 10, 2023 I returned the defective concentrator at my expense ($24.17 ***** On July 15, 2023 I contacted the company and asked about the status of my refund. I was told that they would process my refund for $182.55. Their return policy: cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer; free shipping orders will be deducted from the original shipping fee =$50; if paid by credit card a 5% processing fee is deducted =$16.45; return service processing fee=$80.On July 17, 2023 I wrote a letter to Oxygen Care Store asking them to refund me the balance of $146.45 as the oxygen concentrator was defective and unacceptable and not up to the standards of medical equipment. I asked for a resolution by July 28, 2023 and have never received a response. The resolution to my complaint would be an additional refund of $146.45 which is what I initially paid for the unacceptable concentrator. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income with a medical problem and this is a lot of money. This company should not be allowed to do business in *****************.
