I was a viticm of identity theft. I was arrested May 25,2021 and my car was towed. Inside my car was all my personal information. Credit cards, identification, social security cards etc ... After May 25,2021 planet fitness started withdrawing money monthly and annual fees from my account. I didn't authorize these transactions at any time and before my incarceration I had no account with **********************. December 3rd I was released from prison and was informed from my bank chase bank my money was withdraw by chase bank. Because of the time frame the dispute was not settledInitial Complaint

I was out of state for business and I was trying to cancel my gym membership. When I called to cancel they said I was not able to do so without going to your home gym to cancel the membership. I then called my home gym which was Bellflower and the told me that I wasnt able to cancel over the phone nor online and that I must go to the gym in person to cancel my membership.They accept payment online and through the app but no cancellation options which is unfair for anyone. So I blocked the automatic payment because I was going to be out of state for a couple of months. On August 2nd 2023 I finally arrived and went to the gym to cancel. The guy at the front desk said that I could have emailed them to cancel or do the certified mail. Which is unfair either way. If they take your automatic payment there should be a cancel membership option on the app or online. The representative also said that if I wanted to rejoin the gym that I would owe them the balance that I had of approximately $99 which is unfair because I tried to cancel and I did not go to any of the Planet fitness. In the cancellation document it states that the last time I checked in at the gym was August 2 2023 which means I would be liable to pay the balance if I choose to return. It is not fair that I have a balance if I return back to this gym.
