On March 30, 2022 I paid a $200 deposit for a family photo session scheduled for May 21, 2022. On May 21, 2022 immediately after my photo session, I paid the remaining balance of $300. I found this photographer online via social media *********. Went on her website and liked the lifestyle photo session package which offers the below: 1-1.5 hour session, 50 + edited images, private online gallery, couples session prep guide, location guide, travel up to 1 hour covered. I did not receive 50+ edited photos, I only received 35 photos. I did not receive a prep guide nor a location guide. The photos I received during my photo session were not professional. Communication with this photographer were always inconsistent and delayed. The contract I signed promised photos to be delivered 2 weeks after session - My photos were delivered late. Photographer offered me a mini photo session to make up for the missing photos. However, I reached out on Aug 26, 2022 and requested a refund instead. I finally received a $125 refund for the missing photos on Oct 5, 2022. However, I would like the remaining $375 refunded as I did not receive everything in the package/contract that I signed for and the 35 photos that I did receive were not as she had advertised on her social media/website.

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/11/25) */ Hello there, This complaint was opened against me on OCTOBER 6, 2022 a DAY after she signed the resolution contract and received a refund. On October 5, 2022 ******** signed a resolution agreement (which stated she could not pursue this issue any further - I will attach a copy of that resolution agreement to this case and received a refund of $125 for the missing 15 photos. I had informed****** upon delivering the gallery that there are missing photos due to the fact that we couldn't reel in her son for photos. Let's talk about her session as she stated the photos she received were not what I advertised. I document couples and families as they are. Each session is different as many factors play a role in photos. Cooperation plays a huge role in the type of photos captured during a session. I was nothing but patient as I allowed her son to be himself and have fun as he explored his surroundings since he didn't want anything to do with photos. Part of being a photographer especially when there's kiddos involved is to be patient because the last thing I wanted to do was overwhelm her son or her and her partner. We did everything to get her son to engage in photos by bribing him with his favorite treats and playing with him but ultimately he just wanted to be a kid and didn't want to take photos... which is totally fine i wouldn't have it any other way. However that meant I wasn't able to get the photos needed to complete her gallery which is why I went ahead and offered the mini session to make up for the photos. I was very transparent with her on that and honestly I didn't have to offer that to her but did anyway out of the kindness of my heart. She even liked the idea of having a mini session after receiving the gallery. It's confusing that she states the photos she received weren't what I advertised on social media and my website but after receiving the gallery she texted me saying "omg thank you so much!!! the photos look great" Which made me happy because she ended up downloading the images multiple of times, used them on ********* from what I seen prior to her blocking me and on her facebook profile photo till this day. I also want to mention a few things for *** to have on record.. - Immediately after she signed the contract and received the refund I received a negative review from an acquaintance of hers named Jasmine Lee whom I've never worked with stating I took photos of her (*************) family and that she should have asked the nearest 2 year old to take photos of her and her family. The false review represents my work negatively. - On top of that on October 20th I had **** To *whom she is related to**** me calling me "************" and "************************r". I will attach screenshots to this complaint. The harassment I've received from her acquaintances honestly is extremely childish and uncalled for. It never had to get to this point over an issue that has been resolved already. - In regards to my inconsistent communication I can agree with her that it was inconsistent and I apologized for that. However, I am a one woman show who also was dealing with family matters which I explained to her and she ignored. The harassment I've received and dealing with this issue yet again has caused me unnecessary stress. I understand ******** wants a full refund of the remaining $375 which she should have mentioned to me before signing the resolution agreement on October 5, 2022 as I am a reasonable person who would have refunded her entirely to have avoided this entire issue. So if ******** still wants a refund or *** insists I issue a refund, have her contact me directly for the refund - which I will have her sign another resolution agreement and will issue the refund so I can finally put this behind me and move on. Consumer Response /* (2000, 15, 2022/12/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Reached out to photographer and received full refund.
