On Jan 17, 2021 we put a deposit on a Vagabond Nomad. We were told it would be 12 months which was fine. When it did not arrive in 12 months, we understood that there were supply chain issues and that it would be about 6 month longer. Now 2.5 years after deposit the company is unresponsive and we have not received product.Initial Complaint

In February 2022, I purchased a build reservation, with the assistance from the business owner, from an existing customer for a high-end product. The build reservation, from the previous customer, indicated a completed build date of August 2020. During the next 5 months, I communicated with the business owner via in person, phone, email, and text message, while building out my order, and he was very helpful during this time. In July 2022, I received an invoice with the remaining balance due, and paid the balance via Cashiers Check, in person, within the week. The owner notified me that my order would be completed by August 2022. In late August 2022, I was notified that due to supply chain issues, my build would be delayed until October 2022. I have not received an update, nor a new completion date of my order, since August 2022. I have attempted to contact the business four times in person, multiple times a month by phone, by email, by text message, and multiple phone reservations with the owner through a 3rd party appointment service, to no avail since November 2022. The business does not answer the phone, does not have a voicemail service to leave a message, does not respond to emails or text messages, and does not provide updates when stopping by the business in person (7 hour round-trip from home). I am aware the business/owner is still taking orders and attends trade shows to advertise their product. I have spent $17,000 for a product that has not been started/completed, and of which I have been given no updated production completion date.Initial Complaint

Same issues as the other complaints within. Placed an order in April 2020. Radio silence for two years. *****************************, the owner, suddenly comes out of the woodwork in March 2022, likely when his company is cash poor and needs more money. He told me my build was in the next batch and would be completed by Late Spring of 2022. Here we are in Late Spring 2023. I have received no goods. Compounding matters, even though the website states a refund of the deposit will be given (no less than 85%), like others, the issue of a refund is completely dodged by the company. I simply want a refund but I fear my money for my camper was spent elsewhere.Initial Complaint

On October 21, 2021 I paid a deposit of $5,102.12 for a Drifter pick up camper from Vagabond Outdoors of *******, **. I was told it would take about 12 months to receive the unit which was fine. Beginning June 6, 2022 I made an inquiry to Vagabond seeking an update. No response. I have tried a total of 9 times (email, voice mail, **** mail, attempted phone calls) to reach them, including 2 certified letters that were both signed for confirming delivery. Absolutely no response. On September 6, 2022 Vagabond sent out a mass email stating that their customer service was extremely deficient and to expect it to improve soon. About 70 days later I have heard nothing. I am tolerant of factual COVID impacts, supply chain issues but Vagabond is the most irresponsible company I have ever dealt with. I have no confidence whatsoever that Vagabond will ever deliver the Drifter. I see someone else has been waiting 22 months and counting for their unit with no communication - simply inexcusable. I am not waiting 22 months for nothing so am altering my retirement plans a considerable amount to compensate for Vagabonds irresponsibility. I am making arrangements to take them to Small Claims Court of ****** County. I have realistic expectations on actually getting a refund but some action step is necessary. On December 4th, 2020 we paid a 50% deposit on a "Drifter" camper from Vagabond Outdoors with a number of options. Invoice ****, for $6082.56. There were assurances in writing, via email, from the owner **** that "There were some of the pre-Covid orders that were extremely delayed by the challenges we've had this year. The delays are in the past and the current lead time is 12 months."Over a year and a half later, we cannot reach anyone at their shop. All emails are unanswered and attempts to reach via their website's contact form are without any response at all. Voicemail inboxes are full. We have no idea what is happening with our order due to lack of any proactive outreach regarding its status.At the barest of minimum, we need assurances with a real, accurate, and honest timeline for our camper's completion, for which VO has had a 50% down payment since December 2020. We also would greatly appreciate an explanation of what is happening that at the company to justify their the complete lack of engagement with their paying customers. If VO is no longer able to produce their product, I am requesting a full refund of my long-held deposit.Initial Complaint

I placed an order for the Vagabond Nomad camper for my ************************** Oct 7th 2020, I was told it would take about 12 month to build it at that time. I trusted **** and put down 50% deposit which was $6705.71 . It's been 22 month since I placed the order, and I still didn't receive the camper, or any kind of updates from ******** basically ruined all my trip/vacation plans last year, and more this year. I emailed him for refund few weeks ago, **** replied saying he has a customer who is interested in purchasing my build spot, and no follow up after that. I asked him for full refund since he never deliver the product on time and gave him about 2 weeks to do it. He still hasn't paid me back or replying So I am filing a complaint here. hoping to get my money back $6705.71Initial Complaint

I paid Vagabond Outdoors a total of $5387.50 on July 7th, 2020, for a partial downpayment for truck camper that was due to be delivered within 12 months of payment. It has now been nearly 24 months and I have not been able to contact Vagabond Outdoors for a refund of my downpayment. I've tried contacting them through email, through their contact form on their website, and using their phone number. I would like the full amount refunded to me.
