Date of Transaction: February 2nd, 2024 Amount of Money: $3,503.00 What the business committed to provide you:Please note that although not typical, weight upgrades may take up to six months or more to complete depending of stock. After order, Klaus will contact you with an estimated date for installation.What the nature of the dispute is:?Monopolist, negligence, extortion. This business has a monopoly in ******. They are unresponsive and do not follow through with the provided service. I placed an order in 2/2/24 for a weight upgrade for my vehicle, and was not provided any timeline, guidance, or scheduling of the upgrade until I threatened to contact Better Business Bureau on 3/15/24 (Friday). After which, they immediately responded and sent technicians the following Tuesday 3/18/24 to perform the installation. Prior to this, I was unable to get any answers from this company via email 2/5, 2/6, 2/16, 2/20, 3/15 and additional multiple phone calls.There was a generic response of Parts are delayed will be several weeks before we can schedule From a pure consumer rights standpoint, no business should be able to hold consumer funds, let alone $3000+ dollars, with no communication or guarantee on fulfillment of services. I was lucky, in that my email prompted immediate action. But I have a neighbor who waited 5 months for his installation after purchase. I understand long lead times, and supply chain issuesbut this business should not be allowed to take funds with no schedule, delivery or guarantee of fulfillment and hold consumer funds hostage.-Post install, 03/20, they didnt verify the installation resulting in my vehicle being inoperable and thus requiring alternative transportation arrangements. TBD on whether they will send someone today or offer to reimburse for these costs.Business response

In response to your email concerning the attached complaint. We have had supply chain issues on certain parts for weight upgrades which are beyond our control and we do apologize for that. We did offer in an email on 2/17 to refund his money. We would be happy to reimburse the customer for costs incurred for alternate transportation. Please let us know what else we can do for this customer to remedy the situation.***********************
