DO NOT HIRE SAVVY NANNY! We have been dealing with the fallout from the companies failure for over a year! Savvy Nanny did not file the quarterly state forms. We called and emailed, and called and emailed to fix the issues and to this day it is not resolved. We are so frustrated and disappointed. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They claim to handle taxes/withholding, but they will not and you will have your tax return garnished!Savvy Nanny Payroll Services LLC Response

Dear Upon further research I have found that the mistake that caused the snowball of problems you encountered was indeed our fault. A term date in our system was wrong and this caused your returns to not be filed. Then this was complicated by the fact that Oregon does not accept late returns online.We did, however, make appropriate efforts to resolve. However, this resolution had manual steps that caused delay. Once we were notified of the issue our tax expert filed the returns and made the payment manually via postal mail.The delay was further exacerbated by the time it takes the state to update their records. The employer continued to receive tax notices during this slower than usual process, which understandably caused the frustration. It was resolved by us filing the returns and paying the late deposits. We also paid all late penalties to fully own this issue.We apologize for the concern and frustration this caused and hope the explanation of the slower process of resolution helps explain that we were always working on your behalf and that we owned this issue due to its root cause being a system issue. This issue was rare and not at all typical of the usual customer experience.Review from Hannah S

Often a review will come in and while the client may be partially at fault I also see that my business has also made missteps that I may regret. This is not one of those cases. The client did not give us his state account number when it was requested, closed the repeated pop-up reminders every time he ran payroll, didn't inform us afterward that the state sent him a letter, when he did, months later, sent us a letter for the wrong quarter and then got mad at us. And then tried to blackmail us by saying he wanted all money paid to us for all services returned or else he would write a review on every review site. This review is a shakedown and bogus start to finish.Review from Kaitlin M

This company is HORRIBLE. They claim to help you get set up and pay your taxes, but I am going on 8 weeks trying to resolves issues such as them not paying the correct tax amount, locking my account, threatening to not pay my taxes because they don't have the right paperwork that I have uploaded multiple times. When you call customer support they tell you they can't do anything except escalate the case, which does nothing. Then tax professionals won't speak to you on the phone and they don't respond via email so you have NO way to speak to someone who can fix your issues. They also are charging me more per month then stated for their services. It is supposed to be $40 per month and I am being charged $43.16 per month. When I have asked for a call back from the company no one ever does. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It is a SCAM, rip off, and full of headaches. Hello *******,As I discussed in my previous correspondence with you, the issue you encountered was not far out of the ordinary. SUI rates change each year. Clients usually forward the rate change letter to us and we make the change in the software. In cases where this is done after the fact, we have a mechanism to correct the taxes in the system. We did email you at the address you provided to approve the correction and received no response. Furthermore, the extra $3.16 each month is a tax your state imposes on the services we offer. We have no control over that. I regret you are expressing such bad experience when so much work has been done on your account to resolve your issue.Review from Andrew L

We actively used Savvy Nanny Payroll for about 10 months, then kept our plan open for another year to ensure our employee received her W2 and made it successfully through her tax filing. After seeking to cancel in July, and notifying the company in writing and over the phone of my desire to cancel the service it still took nearly 3 months of website errors, unclear instructions and false confirmations to officially cancel my subscription. I was billed twice during this time and Savvy Nanny Payroll thus far refuses to refund the payments despite their website glitches and unclear cancellation process. I went from a customer who would recommend to one who would urge others to find a more helpful and respectful company to work with.Savvy Nanny Payroll Services LLC Response

Dear ******,As we discussed, your cancellation was hard to verify because you indicated you were told over the phone your account was cancelled and we did not have evidence of it on our end. It took time and energy to get to the bottom of the misunderstanding and in the end you were refunded for the one month you were overcharged. I regret your cancellation was more difficult than it needed to be. We have implemented a new cancellation system which caused some confusion on our end and there were mistakes made on your end as well. I have had difficulty contacting this company when issues arise. Additionally it has been very difficult to close my account. I havent used the service since Oct 2021 and I am still being charged monthly and its now April 2022. I was told in January that my account was closed and no further charges would be made, despite that statement, Ive received three additional monthly charges and dont know what to do next. This client contacted BBB the same day he contacted our customer support, where we quickly resolved his issue. This client was overbilled due to a software error and as soon as we were notified on the 8th we started a refund and notified the client of the refund.Once we were notified of this complaint we reached out to the client all over again to inform him the money was being refunded.
