      Direct Connect Connections acts as a "third party" appliance installer for ******* A licensed plumber at my residence for another unrelated matter, identified an improper installation by the first representative sent to install my new dishwasher. The original installer did not follow electrical code by installing a regular, not **** outlet and charged me an additional $100 for his "service". The original installer did not anchor the dishwasher which allowed it to be easily pulled out of the cabinet. The original installer did not install the bottom floor trim on the dishwasher. After multiple frustrating calls and rescheduled appointments, a new technician (***************************) was dispatched to remedy the faulty installation. ***** properly corrected all the previous errors in about 15 minutes. My chief complaint is that the "competent" technician was advised by his supervisor that I would have to pay an additional $80 to install the **** outlet. In effect, I was charged a second fee to correct a faulty installation I already paid for, that should have been corrected at no charge. This probably doesn't equate to fraud, but certainly must approach a scam, and at minimum, poor business practice.

      Thank you for bringing this to my attention. There was obviously some miscommunication here. You should not have been charged any for bring the installation up to code. In addition. you should have been refunded the original charge as you did not receive what you paid for. 

       

      I sincerely apologize for this and would like to refund you for both charges. Will a check be OK? or I can Zelle you as well.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      A check is an acceptable form of reimbursement.
