Check in date: 9/16/23 Check out date: 9/17/23 Prepaid room charge/paid: $212.00 Additional charge at check in: $100.00 Our rooms were fully pre-paid; however, upon check-in, this property charged us an additional $100 fee for incidentals. This was not simply a credit card hold or a request to provide a card number in case of incidentals. This was an actual additional $100 charge to our credit cards, which they said would not be refunded upon check out. They advised the refund would not be issued immediately upon checkout and would take 3 to 5 business days following checkout to be refunded! I did not understand why we were charged for possible incidentals when the property provided free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, free parking, free gym, and their ******* did not offer the option to purchase movies. In addition, most guests carry cell phones so, why did they need to charge an additional $100 fee? This charge was not stipulated in any of their reservation booking information and I felt I was the victim of a form of racketeering. I feel type of hidden charge should be investigated.
