Hired this company on March 6, 2023 to do a new roof and as of this date it is not completed. having spent already $27,000 for the roof in place it is incomplete and horribly done. None of the contracted work was completed that was requested and the company has since stopped communicating to our emails and calls. At this point we are willing to complete the job ourselves but will never refer this company to any business or homeowners. Deeply dissapointed in the quailyt of work and the ethics of this company!Business response

Our project manager has been in touch with the customer, and there is a walkthrough tentatively scheduled for Monday the 29th of April, 2024 so we can all come to an agreement on the best way to resolve the issue and move forward.Initial Complaint

Modern roofing replaced our entire roof in October 2022 and was notified April 10th, 2023 of multiple roof leaks and interior damage throughout our home. Although still under warranty, they will not return our calls in regard to repairing interior damages. Modern roofing needs to ensure our roof is not prone to anymore leaks and fix all interior damage immediately.Business response

We were hired to do this job through ******. The customer has been in consistent contact with our office staff and project manager, who have spoken with her directly over the phone during this time, and we sent someone out around the initial call to inspect the situation, around April 17th to replace the sheathing and insulation at the affected areas along the ridge, and around April 24th to close the roof back up again. ********** last spoke with the customer over the phone on Thursday May 4th. It appears some damage existed from a point prior to when we did the roof. We've made our insurance carriers aware of the situation, they are in contact with the customer.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because there was no prior damage to my home before my roof was replaced. Roofers from Modern roofing stated that they did not install the ridge caps or vents correctly when our roof was replaced by them in October 2022 and that is the cause of the water damage. Modern roofing stated they would call me back on Thursday May 4th with information to resolve the damage and no one has contacted me since then including the insurance company.

The contract was paid in full on Mar 7, 2012, in the amount of $9,000.00 to include roofing with a lifetime warranty with ***** Corning shingles installed by Modern Roofing **** Numerous leaks and repairs by Modern Roofing *** have failed to eliminate a recurring leak through the roof resulting in thousands of dollars of damage to the living room ceiling. The contractor needs to perform a permanent resolution for this leak and pay for repairs to the living room ceiling which currently has a significant bubble and crack because of the leak.Business response

Our office assistant just confirmed over the phone that workers will be going out to the property between 9am and 10am on Friday April 7 to fix the ceiling.
