6/27/22 and 6/29/22 While making a online payment to Discover I selected a checking account from UMe Credit union (that I rarely use). The account had insufficient funds. I incurred an overdraft fee of 30.00 for this attempted withdraw. I contacted UMe customer service and spoke with a representative named ********. She informed me, on record, that 3 attempts for withdrawal had been attempted on 6/27/22 by Discover (lied, only 1 was Discover). Totaling $90.00 in overdraft fees. I contacted discover, and was informed that policy states only 2 attempts are ever made when funds are insufficient. Then spoke back with *** and they refunded 2 of the $30.00 fees as if they were doing me a favor. This led me to believe, on record, no further attempts at withdrawal would be made, since 3 had already been made. On 6/29/22 Discover attempted the legitimate 2nd withdrawal. UMe charged another $30 for overdraft fees. I conducted a 3 way call that included ****, from Discover, and ******** from UMe, and ******** said there was a "glitch" in the system. This "glitch" that charged my over-drafted account an extra $60, also leading me to believe that Discover had made the final two attempts. ********, at UMe CU, led me to believe that the 3 charges on my account (6/27/22) were done by discover (when it was only 1) and only later admitted to a "glitch" when confronted. Never up until that 3 way call was a "glitch" mentioned on our previous two conversations. This omission is also why she falsely led me to believe that matter was concluded. The business practices of UMe logix credit union need to be scrutinized and reigned in. Truly deceitful business practices on the part of UMe considering inflation and cost of living, and then using a "glitch" as an excuse. I want to be compensated for the 2nd $30 overdraft, if ******** had been transparent, my handling of the situation would've been different.Business response
