In the months of February - March of 2023, my property management company of my current apartment hired ******************* of T&T Improvements for general contracting after mold remediation was done. I was in touch with him daily about the job he was hired to do, namely close up the ceiling and walls after the remediation was complete. For nearly a month I was given updates on what needed to be completed in my apartment, with a schedule of necessary time, ranging from 3-5 days, to 10 days, to complete the project. Repeatedly the schedules I was given were unfounded and the work was never done. I repeatedly asked that *** finish the project by the deadline he himself had given me, and repeatedly I was told he needed more time. At a certain point I was yelled at for wanting the project finished so I could move back home. Images of the apartment sent to other general contractors made it clear that the job was maybe 1-2 days at the most, but had been dragged out over several weeks because *** had taken on more jobs that he had time to fulfill. I called him out on his lies, and after threatening him with lawyers, he admitted he had lied by text message and finished the job in 1 day. In the meantime, my unnecessary airbnb costs came out to $1800 while I waited for him to finish my apartment. I paid for these airbnb relocation fees myself, out of my own pocket, without reimbursement from *********************, so I would like T&T to refund me the $1800 that they have cost me because they didn't do their job in a reasonable amount of time, and continued to lie to me about it. I have several doctors notes stating that my health has been adversely affected by the mold exposure, and also being post-surgery, that I need rest. Having been unable to rest in my apartment but living in airbnbs because of T&T has been extremely difficult.
