Approximately last June, 2023, I signed up for 2 months of services from this company. After the 2 months they still continue to bill me for services ($4.95 monthly) I do not want or have. I called. It is a recording that then hangs up on you. I tried emailing. Email address not valid. I have disputed their charges with my bank, but They continue to get past the dispute by making a small insignificant change to the name of their company every month, thereby getting past ***** ***************** and successfully billing the charge to my credit card. I am required to file a dispute claim EVERY month so ***** Fargo can attempt to block them. **************** says they have no way to block when the vendor changes their name. This company is a fraud and is fraudulently collecting money from people and banks

We have canceled your subscription and you will not be billed again.

Please note for future reference you can cancel the subscription anytime from the "My Account" page.  Once you login to our website you will see a link to the "My Account" page at the top.

All of our contact information is active and working.  Our customer service email address is working and can be found on the "Contact Us" page.  The link the the "Contact Us" page is at the bottom of every webpage on our website.

We have been in business for 20 years and have used the same credit card processing company the entire time.  We have never changed our name with the processor so I'm not sure what ***** Fargo is telling you but it is not correct.

We will follow up you via email and you can reply to that email if you have any questions.

      Thank you,

      E-Yearbook

On 1/21/2023, after previewing the Replica/Re-reprint of the **** County ******* **** *********** Yearbook I discovered that Several Pictures were Extremely Distorted making it impossible to recognize anyone in those pictures, and that the Yearbook was missing a lot of Data/Pictures/Comments that some of my Former Classmates have in their Original Yearbooks. I understand that it is a Replica/Re-printed Version but it should be Reproduced in such a manner that Buyers can clearly recognize the Individuals or Occurrences represented in the pictures, events, and include all the Data, Pictures, and Comments as the Original Book it is being derived from. On 1/23/2023 ********** asked for proof/Clarification of Extremely Distorted/Missing Date and Comments: I provided additional explanation/response: MY RESPONSE TO E-YEARBOOK REFUSAL TO ACCEPT A RETURN OR PROVIDE A REFUND; .....Hello, No Explanation or Definition is needed to understand what "Extremely Distorted or *********************** Not Clear and Missing...... As I have discovered on "Yelp and the BBB Website", this type of Complaint about Pictures being Unrecognizable, along with being Cheaply Reprinted of Photocopies of Photocopies....is not new concerning E-yearbook reproduction of *********** Yearbooks. Therefore, please provide a Return Authorization Number/Approval and a Return Shipping Label as well. Furthermore, according to ********** and **************** BBB Reviews, ********** also known as DigitalDataOnline has received numerous complaints about the "Exact Same Problem" of sending/shipping" Distorted Yearbook Reprints or Reproduced *********** Yearbooks" that is incomplete, distorted as to viewing pictures and data, as well as combining different years information/pictures into yearbooks that is inaccurate or just wrong, and pass it off as an authentic reprint. Therefore, my request for a Full Refund of $89.99 is justified and reasonable.

      Business response

      02/14/2023

This customer ordered a yearbook and we printed and shipped it to him.  We verified through our Quality Control that all of the images were clear and the yearbook was printed exactly as the original with no missing pages and no problems with the images or printing.  We asked the customer to provide any evidence of the problem and the customer refused to provide any evidence whatsoever.

We then were able to figure out why the customer tried to return the yearbook.  His brother or relative did not sit for senior pictures so was not included in the original yearbook.  The yearbook states at the end of the senior portrait section that "Customer Name Withheld" (customer's same last name) "NOT PICTURED".

We scan ************* AS IS so it is not our fault that the person he is interested in did not sit for senior pictures and is not pictured in the original yearbook.  We do not guarantee a particular person is in a yearbook.  We will do name lookups for yearbook reprint orders before placing the order but this customer did not do that.

      Complaint: 19398265

I am rejecting this response because:
As stated, in my previous response to E-Yearbook/DigitalDataOnline.com that the Reproduced/Reprinted Yearbook has pictures that are "not clear, and very unrecognizable", along with missing "data and commentary" that some of my Former Classmates has asked me if I read, which is not included or cannot be located in the reprint period.
Furthermore, I did response to E-Yearbook/DigitialDataOnline.Com request for proof. My response was quite "Clear and Detailed", in that it states; "No Explanation of Proof is needed to understand what Extremely Distorted (unclear/unrecognizable) and ********************** (not there/included in reprint) means, nor is "Examples" necessary because most individuals have a knowledge of the Definition to Distorted and Missing. Likewise, they can review a copy he the yearbook they sent me and see for themselves. Obliviously, their Quality Control Techniques or Reproductions Methods are not accurate or being checked prior to Shipment.
Therefore, please send my Retuned Shipping Label so I can send this E- *********** Yearbook failure back for a Refund of the $89.99 paid.

      Sincerely,

I have recently discovered on the e-yearbooks website that they have posted pictures from the yearbook in the year I graduated, ****. ********************, ********, ********. I was the yearbook photographer and took 95% of ******************* that were published in the book. I provided those pictures with one time use to publish the yearbook. e-yearbooks has published my pictures and has claimed the copyright on their website. I have attempted to call them three times and sent an email. I have not received any response. Their website indicates that they also sell pictures from the yearbook that they have digitally enhanced. They are in violation of copyright law and refuse to contact me on the matter.

      Business response

The photos were published by permission in the yearbook.  The yearbook is now in the PUBLIC DOMAIN.

If you wish to pursue the matter in court we suggest you first ask a Copyright Attorney about your legal rights (which is what we already did).

I am rejecting this response because:  I have also consulted a copyright attorney.  I have contacted my highschool and spoken to *******************************, Media Specialist.  She advised that the photos are my property.  Copyright law provides that I own the rights for 75 years.  Neither ******************** nor I gave you permission rights so I don't know how you assumed them.  Cease and desist immediately or make arrangements to purchase the rights from me or face legal action.

      Sincerely,

We have no further response to this complaint.  We stand by our position that the yearbook is in the PUBLIC DOMAIN.  We have been in business for almost 20 years and evaluated hundreds of thousands of old yearbooks with regard to copyright status.  We have license agreements with many yearbook copyright holders but this particular yearbook is out of copyright.

If the complainant wishes to proceed with legal action our address is listed on our website.

I am rejecting this response because:  According to my attorney, the yearbook may be in the public domain.  The photos within are not.  They belong to me.  I don't care how long you've been in business.  You just haven't been caught in your thievery until now.  You will be hearing from my attorney.

This company advertised online digital yearbook pictures. It offered a subscription service to find these photos. I signed up. You had to signup for a minimum of 2 months. If I had access to my yearbooks, I would not have minded. After subscribing I found they only had access to one year. I feel as though they falsely advertise.

Our entire yearbook catalog is available on our website as a free preview.  The free preview is available before signing up or registering on our website.  From our homepageat https://www.e-yearbook.com , click on a state then school name to see which yearbooks we have available for a particular school.

We have over 30 million scanned yearbook pages on our website.  Having said that, we understand that does not help if we don't have every yearbook you are looking for.  We do offer refunds if the service has not been used to access and view pay-only yearbook pictures.  If this is the case please contact us and we will issue a refund.

      Thank you,
