      This complaint addresses a charge of 3,986$ for paint protection that was concealed from ** when accepting an offer for a vehicle. We purchased a Subaru Crosstrek Sport at the Putnam Subaru Thursday March 14, 2024. The salesmen refused to give us an OTD estimate unless we applied for financing. After filling out the application, when we asked for a cost breakdown, the finance guy would turn the computer screen (with the itemized costs) away from us and frantically write down figures then pull them away from our sight. The first offer had a 10k market adjustment and 3.5k extended warranty which we refused. The salesman went to his manager to ask to have the market adjustment taken off, and he came back with a new deal. He said would take the 10k market adjustment off if we agreed to a few add ons, which would include a special employee discount applied. He showed us the offer, and the finance guy displayed on the screen the price of the extended warranty, 3-year maintenance, and gap insurance, but did NOT show us the price of the sealant/paint protection plan. Considering that the salesman managed to take off the 10k market adjustment, we accepted the offer, and they immediately started applying the sealant. After signing, paying, and driving off the lot we realized that they charged us 3,986$ for ****** sealant and that the original price of the extended warranty they had shown us (around 3.5k) had gone up to 3,986$ (despite the "special employee discount"). We feel taken advantage of and believe that the behavior of the salespeople and financial department was dishonest and not transparent, and that they purposefully did not show us the cost of 3,986$ because that is absurd and we would have never agreed to it.

      I BOUGHT A 2022 Subaru Legacy AND THEY LET ME WAIT FOR 3 HOURS TO GET TO A FINANCING OFFICER ALMOST 2PM AND WHEN WE WERE THERE I TOLD THE FINANCING OFFICER THAT ONLY COST OF THE *** PLUS TAX AND LICENSE. HE SAYS WAIT A MINUTE IF WE ADD ONE (1) ********* AGREE I SAID IF YOU WILL JUST ADD ONE DOLLAR WHY NOT.HE SAYS LETS DO ELECTRONIC SIGNING CAUSE ITS ALREADY LATE SINCE HE IS A FILIPINO LIKE ME I SAID WHY NOT.SO ME AND MY WIFE KEEP ON PRESSING THE **** FOR SIGNATURE AFTER THAT HE PRINT AND PUT IT IN ENVELOPE CLOSED AND TAPED IT. SO WE ARE DONE, WE WENT HOME AND WE ARE HAPPY ABOUT THE ***. NEXT DAY I WILL CHECK HOW MUCH IT COST ALL IN ALL AND I WAS SHOCKED HE ADDED. *SEALAND=$5,995.00. WARRANTY=4,500.00. MAINTENANCE FOR 3 years $2,500.00 so we called the financing office ****** YOGO *****. HE SAYS WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR 5 MONTHS TO FILE A CANCELLATION AND ALSO WAIT FOR 5 MONTHLY BANK PAYMENT BEFORE CANCELLING. TOTAL AMOUNT $12,995.00 plus tax. we keep on calling them until this day Sept.12 and now no one answer my call. PLEASE HELP ME WHAT SHOULD I DO
