My name is ****** ***** and I would like to file a complaint against Christian Louboutin in *******, CA for selling me defective shoes on 5/28/2001. I would like a refund for the amount paid, $452.55, (please see attachment.) Christian Louboutin is a luxury designer. The shoes I purchased at the outlet retail in store for $745 (please see attachment.) Per my email correspondence with corporate, they are claiming they are not defective despite pictures proving they are (please see attached pictures.) They not allowing me to exchange them or refund me the price I paid for the shoes. I have tried contacting the outlet itself to get this issue resolved, but they do not pick up the phone or respond to voice messages. Please see their attached Google Review rating. Their solution is for me to take $450 shoes to a cobbler (please see attached email exchanges). By telling me to do so, they are essentially admitting they are defective. They should have indicated they were poorly manufactured Final Sale merchandise. As such, I would have refrained from buying them. At this point, I would like my money back for these defective shoes. Thank you so much for your time. If you need further information, please let me know.Business response

Hi,
Hope all is well-
In response to this client-
All items sold at our boutique are final sale, as acknowledged on the receipt the client signs when making a purchase here.
(Please see the attached bottom of the receipt and also the back of our receipt for reference)
Also any shoe that is deemed defective- We would be able to offer the a replacement or return for the product.
What we do not offer is a return/replacement for wear and tear on product. (As stated on the receipt) Hence the fact we refer our clients to a cobbler to address any wear and tear issues that can arise. Our recommended cobblers are also stated on our company website.
I have also attached our customer service team to this complaint for reference.
In closing: I also don’t know how this client would actually have purchased a shoe 5/28/2001, as this boutique has only been in operation for a year and half.
Please let me know if you need any additional information-
Thanks-Christian Louboutin – Boutique Desert Hills

I am rejecting this response because:
They are not clear as to whether they will exchange the product or not for one that is not defective. If they cannot exchange it then I fully abide by my statement and complaint against this store. Please call me at ###-###-#### to discuss as soon as possible because aside from selling defective merchandise they seem to also lie about the time span their store has been open.Thank you,****** *****Business response

Good Afternoon ******,
We reached out to our customer service team and further researched this transaction.
In June of 2021 our corporate customer service team responded to the customer:
“After further reviewing your case, we want to confirm that as our beautiful shoes are handmade, we can sometimes see this occur with the access thread. We want to assure you that this is not a defect of the pair itself.
We suggest contacting our top cobbler: The Leather Spa. They are located in New York but accept mail-in repairs and will be able to remove the access thread for you.”
There was no additional correspondence from the customer with our customer service team.
Please see the attached PDF for the Final Sale Policy of our outlet location. It mentions “ The item(s) were examined prior to purchase and deemed in satisfactory condition. As the customer did not raise an objection about the condition at the store when the item was purchased there is nothing further we are able to do on a store level and items were deemed satisfactory in May 28, 2021.
We think the customer may have put a typo in her original complaint to BBB of 2001. This location was opened in August of 2020.

They are incorrect. I stand by my statement and request nothing further from them except to have my statement published on BBB for other consumers to know and be aware of their poor business practices.****** *****
